This is my custom Obsidian I made from my old broken one! All the extra parts are made from, of all things, balsa wood, and painted with acrylic paints! A vast inprovment over his previous state, which was missing both rotors, both legs and suffered from lose head joints.

He is still in need of some touch-ups, but I can get to that later.

I replaced his legs with a single limb/appendage cosisting of the central "leg" and a mini tripod of sorts for stability. He also got some paint touch-ups on the head and chest.

For Vehicle-mode, he got brand new, show-accurate rotors and top section details.
The tripod now becomes his rear/tail fins!

I'm very proud, this is technicaly my first kitbash so comments and critism are always welcome!

    P.S.

I'll try and get less blurry pics when I find the "good" camera.

Thanks, I just couldn't stand the other ones, and even if I could, they're history.

I've also decided to add details to the legs to add to the show-accuracy.

That's pretty good! Any plans to paint him grey like the show?

No. As much as I like his grey look, the purpose of this kitbash is to repair and enhance an old, worn and broken toy to a higher status. I also currently lack the skill to fully repaint him. Although I will paint more grey, yellow and dark-green details for more accuracy, I don't want to completely cange him.

I will modify his "leg" with a bend to better match the show though.

Hey! I finaly finished the tail, added molding and painted details, and dry-brushed some wear and scratch/dirt details that were present on the show.

That is pretty! Do the rotors turn at all or do they stay stationary?

They did, but for display and cosmetic reasons, I made them stationary.

Sweet! Obsidian's one of my favourites, both as a toy and a character, and you did a really nice job on him. Kudos!
