Ok I see where you're coming from; you like it because of the MP-12 elements, whereas that's the very aspect turning me off. Guess it would be tough to please us both!
Exactly. As I said before, if this really were a G1 Hot Rod figure with MP size and articulation I'd be very interested. But it isn't even that.
    Nice summation.

    Masterpiece Hot Swipe.. Interesting.

Not good enough to be called a "Masterpiece" figure, by my personal standards, but has potential. Let's see Has/Tak (or another 3rd party) create a NEW MOLD Masterpiece Hot Rod instead of something that looks like a "custom WIP" figure.

This isn't for me. I don't need another "Masterpiece-styled" Rodimus>Rodimus Convoy figure. I'd be find if it was just Rodimus/Hot Rod, which would make it a much more affordable item due to not having the extra parts for the trailer and whatever engineering/parts to make the robots transform back and forth between characters.

I'm either more than willing to wait on TakaraTomy to make a stand alone Rodimus, or just be content with what I have.

How is my comment hateful? Just loosely stating my opinion that of all the figure still undone, it makes no sense to create another MP Rodimus that may be no better or provide no real cost benefit over the original, official release.

Now if I'd said, "that figure #*&@ sucks and is ugly as hell", that would qualify as hate.

Yeah, that's what I told a lot of people, but for some reason, they still think it's going to be mass produced. Scaleface should update the first post as such. Maybe the mods can change the thread title too.

That looks pretty good but with a narrower chest it'd look so so so much better...

I bet Roddy would look bloody good coloured too but if it is a custom then all the hate and teeth gnashing was for nothing!

I was all set to put this figure on blast, when I saw a more recent posting that said this is a one-off custom. If so, kudos to the creator(s) for adapting a figure well.

But if that's the case, it REALLY needs to be stated more clearly this isn't a 3P offering but a singular creation...

That makes a lot of sense - you can see the red paint of Sideswipe's door on one of the arms, and the lines from the thighs showing through where they've been filled in, so it's obviously just something that has been built on top of an existing MP-12 (or MP-14, given the arm wheels), and not something that's come from a special mould. (I thought they might be making the mould from this or something.)

While it's not what I would ever want from a smaller MP Hot Rod, as a custom, I can appreciate it more, and as such, in its own right, it's amazing, so kudos to the customiser who made it.

    Haters gonna buy.
    ;)

I think it worth it : small size, cheap price...
MP line is great to collect because of all this 3P choices.
Design is a bit wide for a Hotrod..
    So what ? ! It's toy & G1 accurate.
MP-12 and others are wide on torso (car hood) too.
UM is bulky, but for sure everybody will love it once in hand.
AND, thanks again to 3P crew, KFC offer another choice with Citizen Stack.

I saw a video review of Fantoys Scoria : "Head is too small in dino mode,
but fits when transformed in robot"...
I got this toy and it worth it 200% to complete MP line.
Gigapower will bring a very good version too.
3P releases need critics to improve the model, not to kill them.
This small try on MP Hotrod can help the people behind to make more
    and give original design later...
Remeber, Igear started with remolded MP Starscream, then proposed their own Ratchet and Ironhide !
Same with FP : add-on, then original figures...

Let's give some enthousiasm and encouragement !
    :)
Edit : for a custom piece, this is clever and could give a great input to mass production.

    A one off? A custom?
    Okayyyy...
Yeah didn't see that, must've missed it. The thread title doesn't help matters here.
So, well done to whoever made it, it's extremely well made!
And lastly, what a shame it's not going into limited 3P production.
