This is probably my most extensive bash yet a classic/universe scale Mirage made mostly from a Robot Heroes Mirage and an F1 model kit.
First I have to give props to wan_de_real whose excellent Mirage bash inspired me

Hasbro did a great job on classics mirage and I don't think this is a good as that but I had Robot Heroes Mirage kicking about and wondered if I could bring him up to a standard that displays well with my other classics figures.

Still allot of work to do on this guy, i have the basic two modes figured out but they look a bit sloppy in places, especially the vehicle mode. There is a fair bit of detail and gap filling to do and the whole thing is yet to painted.

The legs are from Powerlinx Energon Prime that came in the 2 pack with Megatron, I hated the legs on that figure but on this I think they work pretty well, the head is made from the original Robot heroes head and parts from the f1 kit.

    thanks for the welcome,
The model kit is 1/32, the vehicle mode is a smaller than the F1 model would have been but it was never my intention to make a the vehicle mode look exactly like the f1 car on the box and yes once I paint him I am going to adding proper G1 style decals on him

Oops my mistake, F1 kit is 1:24 scale, but the wheel size matches that of the original robot heroes toy and it seems to display well with the classics toys.
As you can see on the pics he stands about as tall sidewipe in robot mode.

Yeah the vehicle mode is a little large next to the others but on the other hand the robot mode is a tad small for alternators or MP. When he is complete I intend to display him with my classics figs mostly in robot mode.

As an F1 car the size difference doesn't bother me so much, if it was a road car I would probably be a bit more careful with the scale as it would look really out of place next to the others.
I hadn't actually researched scale but I have some other classics projects in mind so thanks for the useful info on scale.

    progress

Some progress pics to share with you.
I Have added side panels cut from an unused part of the F1 kit to add to the G1 look.
I intend to fill the gaps you can see in the vehicle mode at the moment.

You mentioned something about scale comparison. If you are interested in figuring the scale of certain vehicles, you should check out this sight:

Construction Model Life Size Scale Calculator

Just make sure that you choose "other" in the catagory "model type". I have been using this sight to figure out scale comparison with regards to the ROTF movie charactors. Hope this helps

Looks useful, can't have a proper look now as I'm in work but should be a great help for future projects, thanks!

Hey that's pretty slick, man! He's a tad on the fat side, but he still looks ok that way. :)  My suggestion to you is to fill in the ugly hollow forearms on that bugger, those always bothered me on that mold. How back-heavy is that robot mode? I'm guessing he has a lot going on back there with all the additions to the car mode, and I'm not seeing them from the front shots you have up?

Maybe you could make that intake behind the cockpit removable to be his gun? You could simply have a pinned on barrel, so after you remove the section, it would simply flip-out to be his gun? would make it integrated so you won't lose it, and also make use of all that alt-mode that's simply sitting there hanging off his back.

    Thanks for the feedback.
He is perhaps a bit chunky up top, been wondering wether to change that myself.
As for the forearms I have already filled those unsightly gaps, and thanks for the suggestion about the back I'll have to have another look at it when I get home see if it needs doing
Still lots to do on this guy yet and still some decisions to be made so all feedback is appreciated

    A little bit of progress

    Just a quick update.
I have covered the the gaps on the arms with panels cut from leftover F1 kit and added some nicer hands from another figure.

the interesting about this mold is it impressively can be use for either Alternator or Classic scale..that was so surprise me

carry on the impressive works Ninja...i think this one will turn out far away better than me even it is still in the middle of its progress ...the usage of different F1 model kit look so neat with his body though:p
