    -------------------------------------

    Hi all!!!

This is my first TF custom project. I have worked some Star Wars models from scratch previously but nothing related to TFs.
My favorite character is Megatron sooooo obviously it's my first custom :p
I bought a G1 Takara Megatron and I received this (you all know) :(

Omg what a piece of... So I start to modified everything. I used other TFs piece and, especially, gundam parts very similar to G1 for me and you can see the result in the next pictures. Not finished yet. Hope you like it.

    Regards from Spain!!

Looks really cool so far, but obviously a non-transformable display.

Are you planning a modded G1 head, or something different?

Nice work! While I do love transformable customs, I do enjoy all of these non-transformable display pieces we've seen by various artists lately. I've even considered scratchbuilding a few because they look fun and you don't have to worry about working a transformation into it (thought that's where the real challenge lies).

I think if you've gone this far with this though, I'd suggest making the chest a bit larger (much like the comics and G1 toon). Keep up the great work!

THAT is looking awesome. I may have to try that with my original G1 Megatron that survived my childhood only to get broken by my little cousin some years ago.

Looks really good. One of my favorites as well. I am working on my own, and like yours, it's not going to transform. That's the one guy I can live with not transforming, because at 32, I have no use for dsiplaying a toy gun, nor am i going to run aroudn the house with it (wish I could). Yours is really nice though, very IDW-style

that's looking VERY promising. I recently bought the faith leader mini MP prime, which includes a G1 accurate megatron head, should be just the right size. PM if you would like to buy the head.

    looking forward to this

    Haha, subtle. :p

In any event, this is looking incredible! First custom, you say? Sheesh! I expect to see a transformable version from you in a few years. :)

Thanks to all for your kind words!!

As someone said, it's non-transformable. Step by step, next custom will be :)

For me, the real problem of this model is the head. I have made some tests but nothing serious (Thyvipera PM sent, thanks!).

Nice but eh... you bought an actual Takara reissue to chop it up instead of a opting for a knock off ?

Yep you are right. Bad planning. Initially I only want to make some changes here and there and keep it transformable. But I started to modify it and... next time I will made it completly form scratch or buy a cheaper version to modify.
    Thanks!!
