After seeing the movie, I told myself that I wouldn't get into making movie ironman customs. Unfortunately, I was bored the other day so I bought a Mark3. The figure is a disappointment, IMO, especially the paintjob. This is where I step in. Iron Man was primed and basecoated with automotive paint for a more durable paint job. The metallic red and gold colors were then added using Tamiya and Gunze-Sangyo Mr. Hobby Acrylics. I actually thought that this was an easy project, but it still took me a few days to get it right. Here are the pics of my custom Iron Man Mark3: [att]7332[/att] [att]7333[/att] [att]7334[/att] [att]7335[/att] [att]7336[/att] Attempting to simulate in-flight pics: [att]7337[/att] [att]7339[/att] in-flight pic courtesy of catch22: [att]7347[/att] WIP pics, looking somewhat like the mk2 armor [att]7340[/att] [att]7341[/att] This is also the first custom piece that I made which I planned to sell from the start. I'd like to sell it on eBay but then again I think that lack of feedback (yes, I am an eBay noob) and the high shipping costs (I'm from the Philippines) might deter me from getting a good price for it. Or, I could just try selling it on the local market. What do you guys think?
