So… first I want to say this is my first custom transformer and finally after months of messing with this guy, I got it done. I started my custom Galvatron back in August. I’ll admit I didn’t plan on spending that much time making him. However, these last few months I’ve been working on him none stop (before it was when ever I had time, so like once a month). There are many reasons I choose do a custom Galvatron. 1) He’s one of my favorite Transformers (toy and Character). 2) Hasbro’s classic version sucked ass (I was so disappointed so I wanted to make my own, even though he towers over class figures). 3) Refer to the first reason.

    To build Galvatron I used:
    • G1 Galvatron (waist, tank tranks, knee caps, shoulder pods, and the cannon/ plus holder)
    • Voyager size Energon Megatron (main body, legs, and head)
    • Alternators Optimus Pime (feet, leg vents, upper leg twists joint, forearm including the hands and seats)
    • Some old Mico-Machine toy I found in a junk box (used for the back)
    • Styrene used in to create shoulder pads, knee, and torso area was built up with it
    • Putty (used everywhere)

The figure is solid and a bit heavy. He’s somewhat easy to transform, it’s not perfect, but it’s exactly what I wanted. He is also a bit of a parts-former when it comes to the transformation; however, it works.
I know a lot of people out there, have made their own custom Galvatron, but I hope in the end I bring a little originality to the character or rather how to customize Galvatron.

So now I present my take on Classic/ Universe/ Generations/ or what ever you want to call it Galvatron

    Enjoy!

oh this is a little pic heavy...

this made my day(really i had a bad day but then i saw this and everything is ok right now)

Excellent work! You really captured both that G1 feel and IDW feel, all in one kick ass 'bash. The alt mode and bot mode both look great! I think the only things I can point out are the shoulder pads seem to stick out just a bit and the G1 parts on his hip look kind of thick. BUT, it helps bulk him up and still looks great.

Man, I have G1 Galvatron & Energon Energon Megatron but I don't think I'd ever be able to pull it off. You've done an amazing job lad, amazing :thumb
