Finally finished them...these custom boxes were fun to make. Getting the artwork for it..less fun. But I think they came out well and compliment the figures quite nicely. I just printed them on our high quality printers at work, on glossy thick coated cardstock, I cut out the windows, taped/glued in the clear mylar windows and then cut out some styrofoam for their inserts and made the character cards they originally came with. These look pretty damned nice actually right now. very satisfied with them. Now that these guys are done and on ebay..I decided to add a bit more. Someone pointed out that GoShooter does indeed have back windows, so I had to go and repaint those. I didn't quite find the dark blue I wanted, but this works..and then I decided to go even further, and designed some KO G1 Boxes for them both to ship in. GoShooter's is done, Minerva still in process, and made the little double sided card they came with as well which goes to the winner. Again these guys are up on ebay if anyone wants them. Links over in my avatar. Some of you may be familiar with the KO Minerva and GoShooter that came out.. So I got them, and decided to design some sticker that were more to the real ones. We got a thing going with Reprolabels.com but in the meantime I made my own.. Love the KO's..But still didn't sit well enough with me..they were so close now, but they needed the right paint. So I went to a few stores finding that perfect color for GoShooter. Originally I thought to just buy a Siren and switch out. But that head gets expensive too, so, eh..repaint it was. And then I found what I was looking for at our new Hobbylobby. So I took them apart, and just taped them off and painted them flat out using Krylon Fushion for the red and white work, and then Model Masters lacquer for the blue. Then I got even nicer shiny sticker paper and used our high quality printers at work and made newer better stickers. Applied, put back together and viola! Custom G1 Minerva and GoShooter. And now up on ebay, as either a set or single figures.
