After years of development, many ideas scrapped and tons of money spent on 3rd party lame products, I've finally managed to come up with a proper G1 Arcee.

She'll be fully transformable. No parts forming except by the guns and the pointer thing in the back of the car mode, which I'll turn into some kind of light saber.

There's a car mode picture in the customs forum. I'll update both threads as I proceed with this custom toy which is still fanart at the moment. Shapeways seems to be busy these days and I couldn't get a response about the parts that I've already sent for approval, so enjoy her in some sexy poses for now :D

Keep in mind that I hate the ongoing and somewhat well accepted 'roast chicken Arcee' concept, with her legs spread in that horrible alt mode. The car mode on my custom will have an accurate G1 cartoon vehicle mode.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that all the poses rendered here are simulations of the articulation on the actual figure.

Some technical information about this project:
    - about 13 centimeters in robot mode and 11 centimeters in vehicle mode
    - 4mm slots for hand held guns
    - 5 points of leg articulation, hip/waist articulation, 5 points of articulation on the arms, head mounted on ball joint

I'm also considering turning some of the back kibble in a of detachable shield, but not really since I think it works well this way.

Nice. Perfect head. Thin arms. Thick thighs. Nice colors, too.

    Keep us updated.

How much $. How many parts. Assembly. Paint. Delivery. etc...

    She looks gorgeous!

So 13 cm in robot mode, you say? Do you know where that puts her in relation to other figures in the Classics line, like Rodimus? I don't have anything in my house to judge the scale with at the moment, sorry.

    Well done, my friend.

It'll be one of a kind. If it works then I'll start talk to some people to see if it can be mass produced.

She's an average deluxe and since Rodimus has one of the shortest Classics robot mode, she's taller than him.

I already have my own arcee project to be accurate in car mode, but it is lost in time and frankly dunno if i will ever finish it , and I bought impossible toys arcee but it does not convince me at all to be the best thing, so I was planning to get Igear delicate warrior BUT I now saw yours, and IT ROOOOOCCCCKKKKKSSS!!!! so, my project will wait and delicate warrior IS discarded....now......

WHEN? HOW MUCH? And HOW DO I ORDER THIS BEAUTY??

uh and oh yes, will it be in scale to G1?

Barring Hasbro doing a better job with their Generations Arcee (YEAH! Like that's gonna happen!), sign me up for one of yours! I can't wait to see what this thing of beauty looks like in plastic form! :D

I'll wait to see how the actual figure will turn out before I can say if this one is proper or not (there could be alot of problems popping up from the jump to actual materials, after all), but so far this is looking pretty cool.

Even if this somehow doesn't work out it's still a damn cool 3d model.

Anyone knows what's going on with Shapeways? I've been uploading parts for a week and no response from them.

There's nothing on the Shapeways forums, just some people complaining about small details not being printed anymore because they're now falling into the '1mm thickness wall' rule. I've uploaded a 5mm cube to see if that was the case but I got no response on that as well. Are they still busy with CES or something?

Nice work with the design. Reminds me of Jizai's work. Can't wait to see a prototype of this. :)  The one thing I do want to nitpick is the abdomen area. It really stops the "flow" of the design, from top to bottom. I can tell the part is important for transformation though, so you probably had no room to work out something else. But otherwise, I'm really interested to see how she transforms. :thumb

That's some really nice modeling work. I can't wait to see alt mode. What software are you using?

Sorry to hear about your problem with Shapeways. I'd hate to see them fall into the poor customer service category. If they don't get it together the next best company in line will be eating their lunch.

I look forward to updates with more pics. Awesome work!
