Custom Decepticons (Shadowcons) (updated 6-7-12)

I have come up with a way to creatively help out my decepticon side, by creating, and customizing some figures into decepticons. Some altered, and some made up. Here is a list and some ideas I have, and questions of how to do this.

A sub group of Decepticons I thought of, so far they are kitbashes, BUT, I will paint them soon:

The Shadowcons
Black Shadow:
I switched his arms, I gave him ROTF Sideswipes arms, with the blades off. And I switched his legs to 2007 movie Wreckages. Black and red will be the main colors I paint the limbs.



Bumbleblood/Deathbite/Reignfire: (3 Cyberfire Bumblebee paints) An entity split within three different Cyberfire Bee molds, One will have it's flames painted Red, another blue, and the third a deep purple.

Various Bumblebee molds used for a vehicon crew build sort. No names, just re-paints to make the sub group seem big.

Junkicons: Main colors red/black, W.I.P
Reck-Lar- Wreck gar re-paint, I swapped his arms with Black shadow, and changed parts of his right leg.

how will this affect alt modes. specifically on the junkions?

 

More than likely the alt modes won't work unfortunately.

I appreciate all the confidence and compliments. These are my first, so I hope I don't ruin the figures  

I'm in the midst of painting parts now. It's not as easy as I expected it to be

I am getting worried about how to disassemble the junkions though. They seem pretty detailed and I don't want to forget how to re-assemble them.

 

Close to finished with my Black Shadow minor repaint.

His arms are drying. But for now. His legs and weapons are fully painted.


I have horrible camera's, so it doesn't really do this figure justice, I may use my wifes Ipod touch to take some better ones

How are the mods affecting the transformations?

 

These I think are going to be just bot modes, unfortunately. But, I did test out Black Shadow, you made me curious. He looks like a bit of a bulky cybertronian plane

 

Black Shadow looks sweet. Glad to see you can still get an alt mode out of him. I like the Sideswipe arms you gave him. Never liked the ones he came with (sorry Reck-Lar)

 

You know, if you removed the wheels from his legs, you could do interesting things to his jet mode, if you wanted.

 

does anyone know a nice gloss I can add to the parts AFTER spray painted to help paint stick

I'm nearly done with Reck Lar, I posted pictures of the face. And I am currently painting the body, which, beyond little detailing, I'm almost finished.
