I finally got a print of my Blockhead bot design. It's made in White Strong Flexible from Shapeways. The material works well for the mechanics, but no so well for appearance.

I was attempting to show how he transforms, but it looks more like he's falling down drunk.....

He was meant to be Legion size, but turned out a little bigger.

Man that is what I love to see. I yearn for the ability to create my own characters and figures.

How much did he cost to print?

Oh and this guy looks really cool. I am officially jealous.

Depending on price for a higher quality print, I think i'd be VERY interested in one. Great work.

I was gonna inquire on 3rd party Cyberverse products in the 3P section a couple days ago, but refrained. Then, this happened.

Tell me, sir. Are you planning on engineering a Commander Breakdown?

    Thanks man!

He costs around $30, and his guns are another $10 (they only work in FUD)

Cool, I'm saving up to purchase the new revised version, there were a few changes that needed to be made. So he's still a little ways off.

    ;)

    Thanks a lot man!

I'm not planning on making any licensed character, just original designs, sorry.

That is really cool! You actually prints your own transformer!

You say you won't do any licensed figures but what about side- and supporting characters? The TF universe is loaded with those.

With the revisions for your next print; will you shrink him down a little so he will be as tall as most cybervrse?

He cant scale down, there are many areas that have strict wall thicknesses that cant be altered. Also If he gets too small some of his parts might not print/work correctly. But he's a good in-between size for legion and commander.

I'm probly not going to stray into any I.P. gray-waters so I'll stick to custom designs, unless I get permission.

Dude, this is fantastic! Be sure to let us know when he's ready, I for one will be happy to lay my money down for it :D

Shame you won't do any IP characters, but I can understand it. Man... I feel so handicapped by my lack of 3D skills..

I have to say that this is pretty epic, great work. I have to ask, what did you use for the pins?

Thanks man, I love those Soundwave tentacles you made! I use 18 gauge solid strand wire for the pins. Cut in short lengths its pretty awesome as an axle.

Are pins absolutely required for this figure or would they mainly be so that the figure doesn't fall apart?

The pins are required for arms and hood to work. But 18 gauge wire is easy to find and dirt cheap, just make sure its solid strand.
