Well i really wanted a Classics Stepper but seeing how expencive he is it was cheaper to just repaint a RTS Jazz and make my own version. He still has a few touchups to do, i ran out of my gold pearl paint so his spoiler needs to wait..

Paint I used was Black and White Krylon Fusion paints and Gold Pearl Paint.

I started out by taking Jazz apart, removing the wheels and sanding all the decals off Jazz, then the usualy taping off of parts i didnt want to be black and such.
Then I took a few measurements for the stepper decals and then made those in Photoshop and printed them out on some clear sticker sheets..
I stuck them on him to see how they looked.. I then decided to leave the stickers on and paint over them with the black paint .. The reason i did this was so i could peel them off after the paint dried and then i could paint the white area with the gold pearl paint where the stickers were..

The Gold Pearl came out great i think, it matches the real Steppers gold almost perfectly i think. After i got all the paint done i printed out his decals on some clear waterslide decal paper. Doing this let the decals stay pearlized and not just yellow. It even made the red ink on the decals look pearl which i wasnt expecting lol. The decals over the wheel wells i printed on white water slide decal paper so that is yellow ink on those so they dont have the same look but still nice i think..

Once i get the spolier painted with the gold pearl im going to clear coat everything with a satin finish.. Im going to brush the clear coat over the enges of the decals first to get them to all stay down flat before i give the final clear coat.

Think that covers everything, he wasnt really a hard repaint to do. I am really happy with the final product and he fits in nicely with my Classics collection. I posted some pics of the different stages after all the sanding was done.. Have a look and see what ya think :)

That turned out super nice. Great work and attention to detail.

Gotta say I kind of like the shot of the black bot and the white "ghost" flames.

Thanks :)  Glad you all like it. It's a pretty simple repaint to do .. Jazz comes apart really easy, the pins on the tires pop right out too to remove the tires.. i think the hardest part was painting the gold cause it is a translucent type paint and it took a lot of coats to get it to look solid. I just have to get him a Targetmaster.

Thanks :)  i hope to get him 100% complete soon and get his clear coat on, AND get him a Targetmaster.. Right now he sits in my case and waits lol. Im going to start on my Leader Class WFC Optimus. Im going to try filling in the voids of the mold to make him look more solid and tighten up the joints then ill give him all new paint. If you can find one of these leader class size KOs snag it as fast as you can, he is bad ass i think ..
