I really love the idea of the dreads and wanted to expand on them with more Dreads of different forms and not ALL SUVs. So, I came up with my own Dread in the form of a Camaro. I used the Black DOTM Bee as the base. I did paint him with a high end Auto black so he does shine A LOT! but more or less used the Black plactic of the toy as the base just in case any damage may come down the line. Black under black hides it well Anyway, I customized his head to hold 2 full sets of Dreads from 2 now bald Deluxe Crankcase's. He also has an extended head plate and head center spike/horn. I also used the 2 peg holes on the underside of the hood as weapon pegs. (Weapons from DOTM Wrecker toy). He also has 4 arms. I used the inside of a Deluxe Crankcase where the legs and arms are pined into place, cut the legs and half of the base away, leaving only a smooth flat panel with the arm posts and ball joints. The screw hole was a perfect fit to then screw this into the underside of the roof to give him the extra set of arms. (He does still transform but the second set of arms need to be unscrewed and taken off) Real easy to do and put back on in bot mode. On his forearms are clips that lend well to place other (clip based weapons on) So, I used 2 Laserbeack tail spikes as a form of close combat hand weapons. All parts not painted in black were painted in a flatter silver and small red and yellow wire detail was done on the legs. The BB arm plates on all 4 arms were painted in a slightly more glossy silver than the body and then lightly dusted with a black window tint to give them the shadowy look. ENJOY!
thanks guys. I have custom PRIME Style Dreads on the way as well. was asked to make them (set of 3) for $1600 lol
UPDATE... I almost forgot to show that he does have a swivel ball jointed neck so i can pose him in BEST mode and he can run on 4s much like we seen some of the Cons do in DOTM in the Space Bridge scene.
