according to Bokuman on Deviant Art Allegation Link eBay ID custom-bot-creations never sent the items, is this person a member on the board? Want to try to help another fan resolve this issue, and if not possible, serves as a warning to other potential buyers.

Bought from this guy before, Classics Devastator. Never showed up. He claimed he's sent it, but I don't think he did. Got my money back by a dispute. All his negative feedback comes from selling to people abroad. I think he reckons that by being abroad people can't touch him. It's a shame about this person loosing out, but with the period for a dispute to be made over, I can't see them getting it back.

He's got another Ebay ID that had it's fair share of bad feedback as well, but I can't remember the name offhand. I won a custom Alternator Prowl from him last year, it took quite a while to arrive, but he said he had a death in the family. It eventually got here and looked great (I normally don't throw a fit when somebody says they had a death in the family, that can usually get into touchy situations).

I have read about this guy here before, I believe plowking and superquad7 have both been burned by him. The name blueavanger comes to mind but I am not 100% sure.

Yep, this is the same guy. Roger Dames/Bluavenger/Custom-bot-creations.

Don't know what happened to him that made him turn out to be this way. I never would have seen this coming from him.

The way I figure it, he still owes me around $350 for stuff that I paid for or goods traded for custom projects that I never saw.

    Ebay:
Yep....he was the first guy to give me problems on ebay. I won a custom Alternators Prowl in 2007 but never saw it. When I asked about it, he said that something broke off of it and he was going to fix it. I e-mailed him again and he indicated that he had a death in the family. Even after that, I never saw it and eventually the 45 day period ended so I could not get my money back. So, beware of him.

Hmmmm, death in the family was one of the reasons he didn't post mine quickly. Suspicious.

why would you folks let the 45 days go by and not file a claim...death in family excuse or not?

just curious...I do not let one non receipt go by without filing a claim with paypal if the item does not show up....otherwise you are just giving away free money...

This CANNOT be stressed enough. There's more than enough time, even in 45 days solid grieving and putting things in order, to go mail a damn box.
Do NOT lose your money, people. Claim, claim, CLAIM.

My reasoning was that I had at least a dozen or more transactions with him before that were all flawless. And he was making more than one custom for me at the time....so it was more of a "wait til they are all done and send them all to me at once" thing that I had suggested.

    Live and learn.

Have you tried contacting ebay via their "Live Chat"? I have found that they really help get the process moving:
    EBAY Live Chat

You will first reach a general help person, and they should be able to forward you to the right dept, which is "trust and safety", I believe. Either way, they ought to be able to start an investigation into ALL his registered Eaby ID's based on the IP address. Hope that helps...
