Well this is my first custom posted since the new Radicon format, so I hope that I'm posting this correctly  

Here is my custom painted Animated Grimlock. His gray now matches the gray used on the Diamond Select bust.

I hope you all like his new colors... Dino-mode pictures will be posted later after the paint cures more.

Fantastic job. It looks rather royal, which suits him very well. But that paint is going to scratch horribly unless you protect it.

Grimmy looks great man! One of the things I loved about the G1 "beasts" is that they still looked robotic and Cybertronian (which is why I didn't care for BW that much). You really pulled that off with your paint apps being so shiny.

By the way, did you make that Decall yourself, it looks great as well. I don't know why Hasbro is staying away from the traditional Red/White & Purple/Color scheme.

Brilliant job. The colours are metallic enough, but not so shiny they detract from the Animated feel. The red's gorgeous.

 

It's actually a reprolabels decal, and thank you... And I agree it weird that they are staying away from the traditional colors especially with animated. The traditional colored logos look so much better on the animated figures.

I'm thinking about when I get another Grimlock in doing him in lighter colors and a standard red instead of metallic red.

 

I'm still around just haven't had a lot of time to do any kitbashing. What few I've do I haven't had the time to sit down and take picture of them. And thank you... I love that shade of red as well...  

 

Just an update to go with my current G1 inspired Animated Grimlock I'm also working on a more cartoon accurate version as well.

Also I need to take some pictures of my G1 inspired Voyager Movie Prime with Alt Prime's head   And Classic's Prime & Megatron as well.
