Here's my TFA take on my favourite Autobot: Trailbreaker. He's another ratchet body with a head swap and bits from Sentinel Prime -name the bits if you can! :)  The accessories fit inside the car mode too.

I like to keep the shoulder panels extended because it reminds me more of the G1 toy. I figure they're part of his projectors or something.

Painted with Citadel colours (black primer was a godsend!).

    Wow, that really works.

I'd recommend you make another Trailbreaker out of the sentinel Prime mold as well.

Wow, This is really sweet. Great job. Did you paint the decal on him or are the labels.

Thanks PK. TB is my fave TF, so he might have gotten a little extra love.:)  I may redo Cliffjumper now that I've had some more practice.

Wasp and Gears will be posted tomorrow. Gears is pretty rough and I'm not totally happy with him, but Wasp turned out well.

Sweet custom dude, but wouldn't Swindle make a better mold for Hound?

I like the open-topped look of Sentinel. I did a quick digibash and it looked pretty good to me, but I'll try Swindle as well.

There's no reason why you can't. If I can do it with my little troll fingers, so can you! :)

I gotta find a Ratchet. They've totally disappeared around here.

Out of all the potential repaints this mold can be used for, the Ratchet-to-Trailbreaker is absolutely my favourite. It's just too perfect... I can't help wondering if the designers had deliberately taken their cues from G1 Trailbreaker.

This is a great mod... brilliant idea with the arm panels! I did a digibash that was very similar to this some time ago, but it never occurred to me that the arm panels would look so much like the original toy when flipped out. As you can see, it looks much better your way. Kudos! :)

Actually, your repaint was one of my sources of inspiration. I also looked extensively at screen caps and gallery photos of the original G1 toy.

does the generator have to be removed for transformation? This looks stellar.

It's on a peg that goes into the screw hole in the back of his head. The generator and laser arm fit neatly into the open space between the arms and legs in alt mode.

    PS I'm from Hamilton.
