Hey all. I was pricing around on Ebay today and I saw that a lot of the listings for the Star Wars Action Fleet TIE Defender are...REALLY up there. Like $99 range.

Well, I've got one. It's been part of my action fleet collection for years. I'm thinking about selling a bulk of the Action FLeet vehicles I've got and I'm curious...outside of the prices in the Ebay stores (I should note that - they were ebay stores that had the astronomical pricing, not regular auction listings) is there a way to gauge how expensive/valuable this thing is?

It's in great condition, btw, and includes the stand and one of the TIE pilots.

The only way to find out is to

    a. list it
    b. do research on other auctions that are similar to what you're selling (condition, accessories, box, etc.)

    a. Listing it costs about $2? or so dollars by the time I've put it up there. I might list it once I see a few of these go in actual Ebay auction listings. So far, none of them have sold in the Ebay stores.

    b. Did it. That's what I mentioned above.

Did you check completed listings? That'll tell you what they have actually sold for. Ebay stores seem notorious to me for overpricing, and I can't imagine much actually sells from them. (Pure speculation on my part though.) Kind of like BBTS's vintage stuff- extremely pricey so it doesn't move unless someone's either rich or desperate.

I hearya man, 99$ Id cash it out too. The Action Fleets are badass , but I actually got some justice out of the SWTF's.

May sell my AF's down the road, but gotta keep the Falcon. It rules

Y'know, if you would have shown up at his yard sale yesterday, you probably could have bought it for that!

I dumped my AF's on eBay a year or 2 ago. Pretty much got nothing for them, even though they were mint and complete.

    Ebay:
Dude, I probably would have. About midway through the afternoon, some Star Wars guy dropped past and asked about the Action Fleet stuff, said he'd be back to write me a big check...then never showed up for the rest of the day. That got me to thinking, and I checked the price on the TIE Defender. Holeee!

If you remember, I took a look at that, too... It caught my attention because I'd never seen one before, but I had no idea it was valuable, either.
