Jeez Chris, I thought you were better than the rest of this peanut gallery. Do we have nothing better to say than 'we're sexually attracted to Frank Welker's voice'? TMI people, TMI.

I did, and I stand by it. Just try to get him to do an exact copy of his G1voice again. Try, but he'll fail, because he can't. He certainly still sounded pretty damned wheezy there.

Can you come back now, Corey Burton?  

 

The man-love was already abundant in the video itself! Those two dudes were totally macking on each other.

It's my childhood coming back to life . . . again!

 

i hope this show is going to be available online, on hulu or the hub website, like they did with the 'V' remake... in case i cant watch it on tv...

 

CULLEN AND WELKER are ACE!!!!......man hearing them two together again instantly brought me back to my childhood when i would drop anything i was doing when i knew transformers was on...

 

If that doesn't give someone that grew up in the 80's chills... nothing will.

 

I watched this with my wife last night. She always rolled her eyes when she heard Megatron's voice in the game (I'll be honest, I joined her, it just didn't sound right) but we both got a big kick out of watching Welker and Cullen go back and forth.

I'm REALLY into voice acting so she knows who Cullen and Welker and she thought it was so cool to see them working together.

 

I'm 28. Never saw an episode of G1 until I was 15. Got into TFs with Beast Wars. There's always exceptions to the rule, but what the hell: making hyperbolic statements is fun!  

 

I can't listen to Welker talk without laughing. His normal voice sounds just like Fred from Scooby Doo.    

 

Cullen sounds like Prime without neccesity of making the voice. XD

TOTAL GEEK-GASM. This has got to be the most exciting thing about TFP yet.

 

Welker's new style of Megatron voice is fantastic. There's some real potential behind this series.

 

That was pretty good

 

You can tell these guys are professionals; I couldn't help but laugh a bit when Welker exploded at the end there, but Cullen remained cool as a cucumber as he prepared his next line.

Chalk me up, too, as someone who recognizes that these guys just can't quite pull off the original voices exactly anymore... but that's to be expected. It's been 25+ years, so naturally they're not going to have the same vocal capacities they once did. Prime's a lot gruffer and less comforting as his G1 incarnation, and Megs is even weezier (you can really hear this when you check out Welker's Megatron in Robot Chicken episodes). Nevertheless, they still sound good, and I'm looking forward to their performances in the show.

 

I think Cullen as Prime has always been a defining aspect of Transformers, even though there have been others that have stepped in in recent reincarnations.

However, Megatron being voiced by Welker really brings this series to another level with such an iconic aspect of the show now being brought back to its roots.

Needless to say, I'm very excited for the show. This is shaping up to be amazing. I think if they have good writers, it can surpass G1.

 

I'm just very impressed with what Welker has done with Megatron's voice for Prime. It's like they took Animated Prime and mixed in a healthy dose of G1 Megs.

I can't wait to see what the whole thing looks like put together!
