As with most Iphone games, I can't really post screen grabs, but I did a search by latest games this morning and found a new Squenix Final Fantasy game. The demo (lite version) is free. It's a tactical game ala FF:Tactics, only judging from the pics, probably not as robust (more like a typical tower defense). It uses the classes from the FF universe though.

edit: Music is from the composer to the FF Tactics games, Woohoo.

It is basically a Tower Defense game with FF classes, but what's cool is that warriors actually move and engage, unlike regular tower games where all units are stationary and just shoot.

It's okay, but probably not worth the $8 or so. I would rather have touch controls like Tap Defense than the little scroll thing at the bottom. I'll still be playing Tap Defense instead

Yesh if they tweaked it a bit, I'd consider buying it. You can position characters by touching the area you want them positioned though.

Yeah I do agree. I hope they can tweak it up a bit, because it has promise. Of all the games that are made using the touch screen, tactical should be a given, while some action games should be given "touch" sticks and buttons. This game would have benefited with a full screen touch interface.

I can't find screen grabs on this anywhere.
    How are the graphics?
    Is it an isometric view?

I don't have an Iphone, but I am interested in seeing the game.

Birds eye View. Looks like FF6ish. And the Store shows other images from other levels, so it's not the same battleground the entire time. If anything, the music kicks ass.
