now hear me out. im sitting in walmart , got my dinobots and about to head out. im looking at crosshairs with his oversized , deranged clown smilin face, and thought , there has got to be something i can do here. cause i love the car mode. but God the face bugged me. so i cut off the rubber trench coat ( may work in the movie but not on the toy, some may like it , but after i cut it off it opened up the figure so much more and helped with the poseabilty. rumbled through my fodder bag of heads and found a foc twin twist. repainted it ( krylon emerald green is a perfect match ) and here he sits. took about 30 minutes . im happy

I can imagine a lot of people will be changing the heads of their AoE figures. That looks good on him, makes him look like a G1 or Generations figure.

I want to like this mold - and I do like what you've done here - but the back kibble just kills it for me. Like DOTM deluxe Soundwave, Crosshairs has so much potential, but all that stuff hanging off the back seems so ugly.
That said, love your choice of headsculpt for this; it really does help, as does getting rid of the rubber bits.

So the rubber "coat" isn't required for transformation at all?

    Good news. :thumb

Dig it. Looks much better. Most of my Movie guys get new heads and hands if they can. Perhaps this can be a non-horned version of Tap-Out, or with all those guns, just call him Double Tap. Hmmm...

What did you do with the rest of the backpack? How is it folded up?

thanks guys. the backpack is still there, when you cut off the rubber part it allows for the side pieces to go back alot further and fold behind him alittle bit. now there may be other heads that fit this mold , twin twist was just the only extra head i had at the time that actually looked good, im sure someone will find another head that fits the mold. this came out way better than i had imagined it.

Interesting. I think I prefer how this looks. So nothing is missing in car mode?

Am hoping the movie inspires us to keep the rubber parts.

Keep the coat and paint the robot NAKED.

Hey, whatever makes the figure better in your eyes. I do the same with my figures. Not just full repaints but sometimes a simple swap is all you need to make it better. This looks pretty cool. I have my TFTM Longarm a DOTM Topspin head, a TFP First Edition Arcee a ROTF Arcee head, a ROTF Bludgeon/Wreckage a Universe Skullgrin head...all of them are better for it. :)
