The most disgusting foot wear ever to be conceived. Comfortable....but for the love of god, not for wearing in public....

Discuss. I'm sure plenty of you have seen them. Those foam, plastic looking sandal/shoes with holes in them.

Coming from NYC, I have to say they are better than the "old brown paper bag tied to your feet with a string" look, but not by much.

    I agree with KA.

    Pure hype.

Many of the nurses, including my wife, wear them to work because of being on their feet all day long. Comfort is a necessity in that case.

In terms of regular fashion wear...Yech. My fiance always makes a note of just how much bacteria and filth probably accumulates in those little rubber ridges inside the shoes. Not something I really want to think about.

    ...and they're just ugly!

Yeah, but think about how much crap gets into the cloth fabric of any given pair of sneakers. And hell, they have ridges underneath also. I think shoes are probably inherently filthy. Dress shoes might be a little better, but not great.

Still, I'll be wearing mine with socks, and dunking 'em in bleach & soapy water every few days. I love working at a hospital, but I don't want to take my job home with me.

It's all mental. People that buy into the BS behind them defend the decision by saying they are confortable. BS! I tried on a pair and they felt horrible. The only reason why I tried them on in the first place was because my wife says they are great. Nope.
