I know the guy, and believe him (mostly 'cause he's kind of arrogant and he likes the moral high ground, so he wouldn't be shady solely out of pride, which is a good thing to me), but I know you don't, so maybe that'll convince you.

I also think the site could be improved by adding what they were arrested for. Hell, you could probably turn guessing it into a game to increase interactivity (and adviews, if q&a were on separate pages).

Needs more meth-heads to make the hot criminals stand out more, though.

 

Wish people would stop with low content posts. That lock emoticon should just go.

I've passed everybody's support of that along--he's said he could add it, but didn't see the point. I'm trying to convince him otherwise.

I find it kind of strange that most of these young girls are smiling while their mugshots are being taken.

Do they think they are trying to audition for "America's Next Top Model"?

 

Seriously! I mean, I know if I ever got arrested, smiling isn't exactly what I'd be doing. Most of these chicks must be seriously mental.

 

I'm all for the addition of the what they were arrested for. It would certainly add another layer to the images. It's one thing to laugh and oogle, but I also read Playboy for the articles. Back when I was 15 and stealing them from my stepfather.

 

So please, ogle and objectify young and younger women.

Do it for the children.

 

Well, I'm doing it 'cause it's a guy I respect the hell out of. The nieghborhood site he created has been a huge help to me (and if you're reading this, Cap'n, a huge pain in the ass also), and I think helping him out in return, even a little, is the right thing to do.

Far as objectifying and ogling, dude, welcome to the real world. That's the only response necessary.

But I'll throw in: they're public photos because the subjects were arrested, and I'm pretty sure DUI is worse than "ogling." Or about: if I believed for a SECOND that the majority of these women wouldn't be happy to rely on their looks for better treatment or a reduced sentence, I might hesitate at the premise of the site. But I don't.

But hey, getting lectured by someone in high school might do me some good, so go for it.

 

Bryan - in Alabama, you can actually go to the sheriff department's website and find mugshots, names, and charges of recently arrested individuals. Certainly if they can do that your friend would be allowed to stick those descriptions on his site.
