I happened upon this page of "secrets" - this stuff is probably internet legend, but it's new to me. It's some seriously creepy reading.

Anybody ever see that Sci-Fi miniseries "The Lost Room"? That show seems lifted right out of this, especially the stuff about the "Holders".

Just ran into this the other day myself while perusing /x on 4chan. I've got to say it's a cool idea if nothing else.

Now I got the crap scared outta me. But I couldn't stop! Some of those sound pretty far fetched like the whole 12:17 candle thing.

If no one's seen these things has come back to say what they are, how did this get posted on the internet?

I looked on Google Earth, and this site exits just as explained. Anybody in Portland want to check it out?

I got a call once, maybe 6 years ago, on my cell phone. The number was unavailable, and I usually answer those with, "Hey, your number is hidden, so we're gonna play a game where you have to convince me not to hang up!"

Male voice said, "Will you give me exactly five minutes, and no more?"

It was a Saturday, and I had nothing going on, so I said, "Yeah, sure. Why not?"

Dude replied, "Thank you." And hung up.

And I'll be damned if I didn't feel just a little bit older.

I am related to a ghost:
    http://www.dothaneagle.com/gulfcoas...px.-content-articles-DEA-2007-10-31-0001.html

the first story is about Bill Sketoe who is a relative on my mother's side of the family.
and also, in my own hometown of Enterprise, is the haunted Rawls Hotel, which is also in the article.

    couple other things:
I have been to the grave in Kinston. QFT. scary as hell.
And some of the other Alabama spooks we got, are almost too real to believe.
    Montevallo, Huntingdon College...it happens.

but don't take my word for it, let Charlie Daniels tell you:

I thought the list was going to be cool and interesting, but it sounds so fake and made-up. Some of it sounds real, I think it might be true (stanger things have happened), but the rest is just blabbing.

I like this one. Could be real and cool if true, like "whoa, WTF?" moment. The one below it is equally neat.

EDIT: At the end of the list, it says that he/they wants everyone who read it to help destroy these things, yet some of these can presumably kill you just by reading. How are you supposed to stop them? This list just reeeeeeeeeeee-eeks of bogus.

Still, the odd tidbit is cool, some are just gross.

Yeah, I think about it once in a while.

I don't really believe in stuff like that, so I'm inclined to think it was a prank call and my mind just played tricks on me. But I wonder sometimes...what if, y'know?

Had another really weird experience once, but it's not something I'll write about. But if you're at BotCon, remind me (when I'm tanked) and I'll probably tell it.

What, you WANT it to be true that there are 2583 (or however many) objects bopping around, that if brought together will bring on some horrible apocalypse?

Also, it seems to me that if even ONE object was destroyed, the whole prophecy "thing" could be avoided, no?

I'd swear the second paragraph on that page (at the top above the links) is pulled right out of Lovecraft.

    Spooky stuff, kids!

Sounds more like it was a wrong number and the guy was just a little more clever with your salutation than you were expecting. That's my take at least.
