Just got a nice little bundle of joy from Crazy-devy just got his fists and a nice little surprise a gold chrome hilt to hold his crazy-devy sword..pics in a bit..have to say pretty awesome

 

Crazy Devy Predaking Hands

So I received these today and I gotta say, They Suck. There is basically no difference between these and the originals, as the fingers only bend at the palm knuckle. The thumb is on a ball joint with a really small stem and is super loose.

Also the part that connects into predaking, when you rotate it to rotate the hands, you almost snap the hands in half. It is like the tolerance is just not correct.

As as for holding the sword tightly, as long as its not in a straight up or down position it works well, otherwise it wants to just fall right out.

Looks like this is the last crazy devy "upgrade" for me. Hopefully I just got a bad batch and this isnt how they all are!

 

I think this should be in the feedback area???

 

2 experiences, 2 completely different opinions. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

 

Great to hear they have been released (albeit a month late).

Sucks to hear that they are not that great. I have a set on order, so hopefully mine aren't like that.

 

can't wait to get mine. Wonder what the next piece will be? Thighs I hope.

 

I preordered mine when they first posted so hopefully I'll get mine in the next day or so. I'm nervous to see how I like them based on the mixed reviews though.

looks good although this is the only Predaking upgrade I could do without. Now let's get some thigh extensions already 

 

Nice pics! I got my set this morning and agree with RageD about the tiny, tiny ball joint and stem. It's just begging to break if you're not careful. I don't mind the fingers being single pieces attached to a single joint though, and I really like the adjustable spiked knuckles.

Also of note is that the hilt attachment is crazy tight, I was only able to fit mine up to the same point as yours grandizerGo, then stopped in fear of cracking it, and very carefully managed to remove it. I think I may wind up either shaving down the original sword handle a bit, or dremel the inside of the attachment to create a smoother fit. A warning to anyone thinking to put the hit on and remove it-it will scratch the paint off. Let the rabble begin.

And finally, the connection tabs to Predaking are pretty tight at first, almost feels like you're turning a square peg in a round hole. If you give them a few good twists before attaching them they become a lot easier to swivel. At least, my set was anyway.

 

To me, personally, the price is just not justified for these. It doesn't make a huge visual difference to the original and it's not like you can even have him pointing or doing anything with his fingers, since there not poseable.

Most of the other Crazy devy upgrades I liked because they seemed like upgrades. This doesnt. Just my 2 cents. Other May love them.

Got it yesterday and I think it's a nice upgrade. Worth the money? Objectively that'll be a no, but I don't feel cheated.

Points made by others in the thread are valid though, but just take care when fitting the hands and you should be fine.

 

Just got word that my CDMW-23 arrived but my idiot of a brother sliced open the parcel and into the actual CDMW-23 package. Anybody willing to part with their packaging if they're planning on throwing it out anyways? Let me know, I'll pay some cash + postage to Canada.
