Good review but I was expecting the head to be able to look up as well... I'll have to see how the entire thing turns out before committing.
Man, that head looks dope. Optibotimus sold me on the Devastator parts. I need to avoid his video reviews. Here's a mock up of Predaking with fully upgraded parts. It gives you a good idea of what CrazyDevy has planned.
I feel really good about having this on pre-order. Did they send you a reviewable piece, or has it actually been released in parts of the world? How well does the head sit in place in that little groove? Does it ever pop out while you're rotating it?
It's getting ready to ship out to all the online stores now. They should be getting them in the next couple days by my guess. In terms of how well it sits on there...it stays on very secure...rotating it doesn't make it pop out whatsoever. The peg on the bottom of the head seems just a hair thicker at the very tip of it, so when you snap it down into the groove...it has resistance to coming out. The peg itself would probably not securely fasten into the groove if it was the exact thickness as the groove itself, if that makes sense.
I thought I could pass up on this since I didn't think it would make much of a difference...until I saw the vid. Now, I definitely need one
I, too, expected this to have the ability to look up, but it still looks nice and is already in my POL at BBTS P.S. Have you discussed parts for the new release of Predaking with CD? Based on their multiple devy releases for colors/versions and the readily available nature of the new reissue, I figure they're doing them, but it would be nice to know for sure. I imagine it will be a while off as they'd need the fig itself to colormatch
They are doing more upgrades for Predaking...they wings are coming out next. I can't say what else they're doing, other then direct you to look at their preview images...they wanna be the ones to unveil new products lol they don't want me doing it
Right - I wasn't exactly asking what new pieces they're making so much as have they indicated to you that they'll be making pieces to match the upcoming release...ie, this head might look silly since the orange is different - have they said they'll make a new one when the new version comes out? History would suggest so, but you never know.
head looks great but it got enough of step up from the original head to justify its price to me, not mention if they begin showing up onthe secondary market they are going to get crazy expensive.
damn, thought I was going to pass on Predaking parts like I did Devestator parts, but I think I'm going to be getting these... except the wings... unless after all parts combined make the wings look that small. Do you know if they are going to get into the other combiners as well, beside Dev's Superion and Predaking?
