Looks like CrazyDevy will be planning a box set for their Devastator Upgrades...

I just did some math. Buying these pieces seperate comes up to $196. WOW thats a whole lot of nothing for a whole lot of money.

How much can a boxset bring down these crazy Crazy Devi prices?

WOW. 200$ to beef up Devastator... While the upgrade set definitely looks nice, the parts overall aren't *that* much plastic to warrant the price of admission...

If they could miraculously bring it down to 100ish for the whole set, I'd say it's quite worthwhile... However, they most likely *won't* as it'd ruin the prices of previous individual sets... oh and of course that 3rd party stuff's becoming quite expensive too.

CD has stumbled upon a double edged sword.

I think everyone that wanted this set has already spend a hefty amount supporting CD.

If they release a boxset at a 50% discount that will alienate their most loyal customers. If they don't knock the price right down they will get little new customers.

Releasing a boxset for $100 for $200 worth of product will do nothing more than kick CD in the nuts in the long run.

The prices started off too high, there really is no right move at this point.

So if you want the set to upgrade your Devastator you have to buy an upgrade for Omega Supreme as well? Doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Sad. Four months ago, I was praying for something like this. In a post-exgraver world, I couldn't be less interested.

    p-p-p-p-pass.

Screw the OS parts, do not want.

Still, if this is priced low enough (and I'm talking LOW), I may bite.

This might be to counter that ugly set from that other group... But unless they do something about the price people might still go for the other one.

I think they missed the boat. I mean if they would have done it before Hercules and Giant were shown then they could of made a killing.

As mush shot that I use to talk about CrazyDevy I'm pretty impressed with the Devastator parts other than the fall apart fingers. All I need is the waist swivel piece and head. But if the price on this is low I will sell the individuals and get the box set.

CD is trying to sell a model-T Ford to a society that now prefers their petro running muscle cars. They are sorely outdated.

In this new reality there is no room for pieces that plump up a G1 figure. It is now the era of Hercules....or any other 3rd party fully new figure combiners.

CD has a short life left on them.

I don't know. They cater to a niche market, specifically those that may only collect old school G1 figures or reissues. The Encore set is coming out in a few months... seems like pretty good timing.

The price is another thing however...

Not true. Even with a Hercules and the like on my shelf, I'm still interested in improving my G1s.

    It'll probably run a little under 200.
If I add up everything I've spent on the Predaking upgrades and look at them for the simple chunks of plastic they are, I weep.
