Whats the point in coloring these things in such horrible colors. Do they think the wacky colors will prevent law suits from the liscensed companies.

They are already breaking laws by copying someone elses design. what's the further point to give the KO toy awful colors.

I can understand the need to color the KO in different colors. can't they select colors that make the mold look decent.

I won't debate the cheaper plastic. as this is done to save money. but the horrible colors make no sense.

I think they just use whatever colored plastic pellets they have.

I doubt KO companies really care about anything beyond making money off the mold -- no avoiding lawsuits, no making 'characters', no checking if it even functions properly/safely, just maximizing profits. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't consciously pick a color scheme but rather just grabbed whatever was cheapest.

Yep, this makes the most sense. They just use the most available plastic.

I doubt that they even cared. These were companies just doing this for a quick buck.

After reading this. I can visualize a guy yelling at the workers. telling them to hurry up. pick whatever color pellets is in front of you. hurry up load the machines. time is money, time is money. we need Two hundred thosands of these things made, before the sun sets.

Bright colours probably sell better too, and chances are they've already got moar of it from other projects & things like shitty sand toys.

A lot of the KO plastic comes from recycled shampoo bottles.

    Ebay:
    Only if they're pvc.

It has a lot to do with a badly dyed gaylord of material and regrind and regrind and regrind. The more regrind vs. virgin material the more "light" and fragile the plastic feels and is. 100 percent regrind is almost impossible to work with.
