I have quite a few Micromasters and not enough Mini-Cons. My thought was to remove the screw from the torso of each of my Micromasters, drill out the hole to 5 mm, then glue the body halves back together, thus changing all of them to Mini-Cons.

Two things stop me: It will be a lot of work, and I'm not sure I want to alter/damage all those Micromasters.

Am I nuts for even considering it?

A little nuts. Wouldn't it be easier finding a 5mm hole and putting it on the figures?

... hey, it's what Takara did for the Arms Micron line.

I wouldn't even bother drilling them. Just use some macktack if you need to.

I'd think it much easier and cheaper to purchase more Minicons and save yourself the trouble. However, if there are particular MMs that you would like to convert to Minicons, I can see the rationale in that. But just to pad out the Minicon force? Nah, save yourself the trouble.

Yup, a lot of minicons aren't very expensive so it'd be easier to bolster your minicon lineup that way.

Nah. Almost none of them turn into weapons. Plus, chances are that most of the Mini-Cons you own go to an armada figure. So, I wouldn't do this if I were you.
