Hey, wanted to ask my fellow TFW board members if this listing on Craigslist is worth the price being asked. Its a lot of mostly movie figures & a few other figures. I dont intend on buying the whole thing & plan on calling to see if he or she would be willing to sell certain ones to me. Some complete & some in-complete. Is that worth $40? & What would be a good offer for just Metroplex, 07' Optimus & Lunarfire Optimus?
Firstly, dude..those Giant Bee's have to go! sorry bny888! Secondly yeah, I'd say also that the rest stays esp that Metroplex and movie stuff.
I'll take some of those off your hands. Buy the lot. Don't tell the guy you can demand exorbitant prices for Classics Prime.
I would not have even asked. That right there is a KICK ASS deal for $40. If you don't know that is a great deal for $40 Wth are you doin wheelin and dealin in CL? I know I'd get it for $30-$35 anyway..
Yea, they look like toys played with by kids. So some might be ok, but nothing there looks to be of collector quality. You can go see them, and make a cash offer after looking over what you want.
THX guys! I would buy the whole lot & sell the ones I dont want if I could, but I dont have the "resources" to ship things, such as boxes, tape, paypal, & other essentials. Ill call 2day to make an offer on the Metroplex, 07' Optimus & lunarfire Optimus. THX for ur help
Well, boxes are free if you get discarded ones from dollar stores & things (this is often where I get my cardboard stock from), and you can always reuse boxes that you get when you buy things from people. Paypal is also free to make an account on, and if you make sure to use your full legal name (aka what your brick & mortar bank account uses), then you shouldn't have an issue transfering funds, and I believe doing so is even free if you're withdrawing 150 or more. Also, you can get packing tape pretty cheap if you get multipacks (I think it costs me 6 dollars to get 4 decent sized rolls that've lasted me like 12 sales if not a little more couse I've still got like half of one left), and unless bubblewrap is somehow impossible to find like it is where I live (aka, unless you live in nowhere's ville), you should be able to find this in bulk too without buying it from the post office (and even here its like 6 bucks that lasts you art least 4 or 5 toys). Then when it comes to paper cushioning, just use old newspapers, and since buyers generally pay the shipping amount, all you need to worry about other than actually preparing the package is the the minimal paperwork & effort/gas needed to take it to your postal depot. I know this doesn't help you now (snooze you lose yo ), but maybe for next time.
Well believe it or not, I dont have enough money to buy the tape & things (even if it is that cheap) & dont have a credit card for paypal, & my paypal card is expensive. THX
Well, look at it this way. Your expenses to start will be about 10 dollars, which will include a gun (you only buy this once & it usually even comes with tape), some bubblewrap, and a trip to the dollar store or large chain in itself to get free cardboard. Along with this, you can look around your house/apartment/whatever to see if you have some boxes already (I've sent things out in kettle & phone box packaging before), and you don't even need to buy this stuff until you've made your first sale. Granted, without initial start up capital its probably not a wise move to invest in a lot like this to begin with in the event that you don't turn your stuff as quick as you planned, but if you plan ahead, your overhead is rather minimal. Just add like 2 bucks to your prices while keeping things on the lower/mid end of market value & you'll be good. Again, I get that this might not be viable at the moment, but getting prepared mentally (aka, getting an idea of what you'll do) doesn't really cost anything, and I don't recall there being a "need" to add a credit card to your Paypal account right away anyway. I did because the 1st thing I used it for was to buy stuff, but if you're selling, it pretty much just acts like another bank.
Oh, bummer! Hope you find a good priced Metroplex soon. I actually agree would you. I'm actually seriously mulling over selling most of my movieverse stuff, including the huge ones like Ultimate, MP, Battle Ops. Now, if someone would buy them even at cost, hehe.
