I stand accused of putting the cart before the horse. Take a look at Exhibit 'A': a wraparound "cover" to a story I haven't even finished yet.

    Hope you like...

EDIT: New version, elminating some silly layout and spelling mistakes.

Fantastic. I hope you continue to do the interior, and make it available in high enough resolution to be printable. I love the art so far, but it would be a shame not to be able to print it out and read on hard copy.

*Blinks* Ah, those were the days...

Cheers for the kind words, guys.

This whole thing - the fiction, the profiles, the occasion purloining of other people's artwork (with permission) - has been on hold for... eek! Ages. Years, in fact. I got distracted, then I got busy at work (but not in a fun way.) I had a job which was dull, repetitive and slowly sapped away my creativity. Like the Binaltech toy releases, my enthusiasm just petered out as I got more miserable with the job, my noisy, rundown apartment block and with life in general.

But in the last few months, I've gotten myself a new job (more responsibility, more demanding, but MUCH more interesting) and this weekend I move into a beautifully quiet new house, with neighbours who don't argue with each other about whose turn it is to buy the crystal meth this weekend. (I kid you not.)

And I'm looking at this almost-forgotten project of mine, and thinking... it's actually not bad. The profiles could do with re-jigging a little and the story needs some judicious editing to remove the more blatant fanwank, but on the whole, it wasn't bad at all. And, just as before, I'm still gobsmacked by the talent of of the artists who actually drew the damn robots, because I just couldn't, and still can't.

And now I might have some free time again and I'm definitely feeling like doing something creative, so I'm wondering... why not? :)
