Transformers has had ups and downs and the downs we're mostly hating on them. But could you say anything good about them?

Transformers Cybertron has my favorite Optimus/Autobot combinations
    RID has Skybyte
Armada is what got me into Transformers in the first place

I like the concept of NEST from the movies. I also like seeing humans, if properly trained, being a military threat (though not a big one).

I'm grateful for the movies for bringing Peter Cullen back into the franchise.

I also quite like that the movies did their best not to mass shift.

As almost completely unsalvagable as Enegon is by and large, it gave us one of the best Megatron/Galvatron designs ever and wicked toys of it to boot.

-The G1 cartoon may be ridiculously silly, but I still enjoy it. It's not without its charm.
-I may not have cared for the Beast Machine designs, but I still LOVED the show.
-I enjoy quite a bit of Bayformers, even though some of it is spoiled by what I view as stupid BS.
-I adore TFP even though they've dropped the ball with several concepts.

Also of note, very rarely do I find that someone legitimately dislikes everything about a certain piece of Transformers fiction. You may not like something overall, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some of it. And I think that's something that a lot of people forget. If someone criticizes something (be it G1, Bayformers, TFP, etc.), they're often viewed as "haters" who hate every single frame of the media and can't enjoy it. Likewise, if someone enjoys something (G1, Bayformers, TFP, etc.), they're often viewed as _____-formers fanboys who suck ______'s dick and love every single frame and can't criticize it and view everything about it as being perfect and flawless. Which really isn't the case.

You can dislike Bayformers and still like Starscream's design. You can absolutely detest TFP Optimus but enjoy the show. You can diss Energon and still admit to enjoying the new characters they brought in. You can hate Devastator in anything but still enjoy the franchise in general. See? Just because you dislike certain things about a particular piece of Transformers history doesn't mean you can't enjoy it overall. :)

Prowl and Rodimus in Animated. Although Rodimus was only in it for a couple of seconds, his design was cool and we got one of the best Deluxe toys ever. IMO.

I like Dark of the Moon.

Sam and the humans wasn't even THAT prevalent, compared to the last 2 films (Transformers(2007) wasn't bad either) at least. Not only that, but the films TRULY got me into Transformers (I loved Cybertron before that, but that was a while ago and I had misplace all my figures :/).

Overall I like the movies because they looks fucking superb and I love seeing some good old robot action. I regard these movies to be what the prequals where to Star Wars. Horrible movies, but awesome Transformers movies (same goes for Star Wars. prequals= horrible movies, awesome SW movies)

    If you catch my Drift.

    I love Armada Hot Shot........

-'s toy. I hate the character, but the toy is pretty fun and shouldn't get all the flank it already does.

I loathe Energon, but I thought Sixshot was great in that show. Demolishor too. In fact, all the Decepticons were good in that show except for Megatron/Galvatron.

I didn't really like RotF or DotM much, but I loved Bay's first TF movie.

Without that first movie being delayed, we very well may have never seen the Classics line hit shelves.

Energon was a crap show, but personally I thought the whole Powerlinx concept for so many of the toys was AWESOME.

Energon had some good characters like conflicted (pre-upgrade) Demolishor and borderline-insane Shockblast. That separate tournament episode was good silly fun too.

Energon Shockwave and Sixshot were pretty neat characters.
Cybertron had some really awesome designs.

The Government Conspricaries in the Bayformer Trilogy.

Energon's Distribution is funny...even if it's totally lost in translation.

BM Vehicons, espcially Jetstorm nuff said.

G1-Had it not been for this, Transformers wouldn't exist.
Energon-Thanks to this show, Beast Machines is no longer the least liked Transformers show for many people, including me.
Bay Films-Other than the fact that they brought Transformers back into the mainstream of pop culture, there is nothing good I can say about the movies.
    Prime-Designs are slick.

I like the movies simply because they really brought the brand back to life, and while I absolutly hate all three movies, I will watch a fourth one to help the brand (I know it doesn't need help).

There's usually some nuggets of gold in even the foulest garbage incarnations of the franchise, and the really sad part is that they often make the whole seem even worse as a result, because you see the potential that was wasted.
