I mean, the multiverse has literally countless universes, and every nanosecond trillions upon trillions of new ones are made. so in all the different realities, surely the transformers must be in some of them. but the more scary question would be is unicron real? is he drifting in one of these multiverses, eating his way to ours? or have I fully gone crazy?

it is a very interesting question. if some sort of sentient robotic lifeforms exist i would doubt that there is a real Optimus or Megatron. though there may be transforming robot life out there in the multiverse. to a certain degree, anythings possible.

I'm not convinced a multiverse even exists.

If there are alternate universes and there are an infinite amount of them then yes. that would mean there is an infinite amount of universes with transformers. and yet there would be an infinite amount without as well.
it would also mean there are in infinite amount of universes that are so unlikely that it makes believing the concept difficult. its a very strange concept.

You should never rule out anything, I suppose, but... but you're a bit crazy.

    You are crazy.

But it is really interesting to try to work out not only how robotic life forms could have come about in the first place but how they would have evolved transformations.

If the universe is infinite, anything that could ever happen has happened, will happen, or is happening right now multiple times over.

Now let's apply that to the theory of infinite parallel dimensions...*head explodes*

I have enough trouble dealing with one small portion of a single universe. Multiple dimensions and shit just fry my brain. Go away!

You've fully gone crazy. Transformers as we know it is a human concept, not a reality. No matter what universe you went to Transformers as we know them would still be a human concept. This being the case the only way Transformers could ever be real is if we built them. We would essentially be the Quintessons in the G1 cartoon. Of course in order for any of this to be possible the technology in that universe would of had to of advanced years ahead of this universe. Transformers are basically highly advanced technology and we could be able to build real ones in our own universe at some point.

Even if there's some parallel reality where fiction is real and the laws of physics function fundamentally differently, that still means the Transformers aren't real in this one, and since there is no way for parallel realities to interact that we know of, this is the reality you should be concerned with.
