Does anyone think that there's any chance of the canceled HFTD Sideways Sneak Attack and Megatron Rising sets ever being released? They both looked great. Megatron Rising had a more movie accurate version of the ROTF Voyager Megatron mold (which I don't have, and want, but would love to have in more movie accurate colors), and Sideways Sneak Attack had the Arcee sisters and the most movie accurate Sideways figure. Has Hasbro released canceled exclusives/sets like this before? Could there be some chance of them being released in DOTM, or in a HFTD-like line after it?

At this point, unless they happen to show up at closeout, they are probably "dead" products.

Those kinds of things are generally made in the hope a retailer will pick them up as an exclusive. Apparently, nobody did as far as the US is concerned.

Very doubtful we'll see these, they had a ton of these bonus pack things planned for HftD that didn't pan out. Like the Deluxe/Legend sets that we only ever saw two of, I think there were 4 more planned?

Unless of course, the toys were physically produced, in which case I'd expect to see them repacked at some point.

You never know, they could show up as online exclusives somewhere... Maybe BBTS?

I don't remember any other sets. The above link only has pictures of the one with the Legends Blackout repaint and Bumblebee and the one with that awfully colored Brawl and Jolt.

I don't think so. It's safe to assume that when figures are canceled, they're never going to show up in retail. We'll be lucky if any of these unreleased HFTD sets get sold online, like how BBTS sold the unreleased 07 Movie figures of Gunbarrel, Reverb and Backtrack.

You are correct, I was thinking of the Scout Repaint 2-packs.

    Unreleased bonus packs:

    Megatron Rising
    Sideways Sneak Attack
Ravage Infiltration (came out in Europe? Asia? Not sure)
Drydock v. Undertow (Scout Repaint 2-pack)
Blue Maximus v. Crosshairs (Scout Repaint 2-pack)

I hope their not canceled. I really want that Sideways. Plus the biker sisters.

I'd rather have them than Mexican fiesta Brawl and worst-mold-ever Bumblebee.

The Ravage Infiltration set was known to have hit retail in the United Kingdom. Not sure if it was sold elsewhere.

Of course the two coolest multi-packs would get cancelled, and instead

    We got this...

    Oh, and this...

    Can't forget this...

    Did I mention this, too?

    Oh, and this one here...

Fail. Just, gigantic, fat, fucking, fail. Of course we'd get five sets of absolutely hideous redecos of what are (At most) pretty mediocre figures, but of course the two sets that had pretty awesome figures with movie-accurate redecos get shitcanned.

I'll admit though, that deluxe Thrust has a nice redeco.
