Still counts. You can't take Bay's word for anything.

    No.... Just.......No.

My childhood already has a restraining order telling Mr. Bay to remain at least 100 yards away from it.

The thing is, to remake the 1986 TF movie in live-action and CGI would likely be extremely expensive. All those robots, an entire transforming Autobot City, many scenes on Cybertron, space ships and various alien races and only actual two humans.

And I can't see Spike making testicle jokes with Daniel:

Spike: "See, son - this is Hairy Pink Moonbase One, and this is Hairy Pink Moonbase Two..."

But Bay would have to fit his inappropriate humour in somewhere:

Springer: "Just think about what you wanna do before you do it."

Daniel: "I really wanna 'do' Arcee. And I've been thinking about that a lot. One day I wanna be her Headmaster partner."

Arcee: "Well, just make sure you brush your teeth first."

I don't know how to break this to you but Michael Bay is still watching your childhood from a distance through high-power binoculars.

*sigh* I know he is. I'm in denial about it. Trying to take the ostrich approach to his skulking

Not without being a reboot. Which we know it isn't. So no.

    God I hope it isn't.

not a remake of the 1986 movie, but when TF4 was announced and the whole 'new direction' thing was put out into the open, I did think maybe Optimus, Bee and all the others would be gone and they'd replace them with a new group, consisting of Rodimus, Kup, (since Arcee and company are dead and Moonracer's name can't be used...who could be here?), Red Alert (a girl like in animated and an actual medic that does something) and springer, an autobot flier that actually lives.

That way, it's new enough to be its own movie, while still being connected to the previous three via references (the matrix), etc etc. or something. Could take place in another part of the world. I always found it weird that America was the only country with the autobots and yet no country ever came after the US after the whole WORLDWIDE SAM thing.

Ugh, no. None of that stereotype shit. The young robot is voiced by some teen rebel guy? The old robot tells stories and is grouchy? Let me guess, the girl robot is pink, with an overly sexualized design.

    A complete remake? No way.

    Taking aspects from it? Sure.
