Could have been possible a crossover animated movie of Transformers with the Joes in the 80's ?
Nope. Nope nope nope nope nope.
We all know how these crossovers usually went.
I've never liked the idea of G.I. Joe crossovers with TF. (I know that there have been some in comics form and "Old Snake" in that one episode.) I prefer them to be their own separate things.
The 86 movie would have had to have been a success. Same with the GIJoe movie that got dumped to VHS due to the TF movie failing.
The 20 year time jump in TF also would have killed the idea unless they set it in the 80's (what would be the TF's past) or all the Joe characters would be too old
I think that they sort of tested the waters in Season 3 and then decided not to go further indicates Hasbro wanted those brands to remain more or less separate, at least on television/movies.
Even the comic crossovers were not considered highwater marks of the G1 era.
You forgot Marissa Faireborn who has been confirmed to be the daughter of Flint and Lady Jaye. That's why that illusion of her father was an older looking Flint.
