FansProject reissued City Commander once. Could FansProject ever reissue Shadow Commander too?

What are you thoughts & opinions?

My thoughts are that I don't think they ever will, but also that I really really hope they will.

I can see them reissuing all the Commander sets if they decided to create new Classic style Optimus/Magnus/Nemesis figures that were backwards compatible with the trailers.

I hope they do, I am sorry I missed out on that one and don't want to pay the $$ they go for now.

My thing is paying $260-$300 for one now only to hear wind that they will reissue them and they'll be available again for $90-100. (Just like the City Commander a while ago.)

They have yet to reissue the first Crossfire Aerial Team Appendage kit, so aside from reissuing City Commander, what else have they reissued? Would Shadow Commander only be the second?

It's not really the price on the secondary market that bothers me the most (although it does bother me), it's more that I know there is a KO out there and it is probably more common than the original and I have no way to tell the difference, especially if it is MIB/MISB.
So even if I do see one on eBay, I am too scared to go for it in case it turns out to be a KO. :(

I waited long enough, so I got mine off ebay for 300.00. just for the 2 items shadow commander & snowman version superion add on kit cost me close to 600.00 for both of them. I say If you want them get them now or go for the ko shadow commander for about 100.00 to 175.00 if you get scam by the sellers who has the one line descriptions on ebay.

I dunno.... Shadow Commander was given away in a fire sale pretty much lol. The other 2 are in stores still and selling for cheap so.... probably not. However, you never know....

I remember seeing Shadow Commander on TFsource for $99.99 last year and several times with it added in my shopping cart and all I had to do was just click 'confirm', but I never pulled the trigger. Now I'm regretting it. arghhh

Personally I doubt it since they were advertised as limited. Besides I'd prefer they put their resources into new items not reissuing old stuff.

If it helps them fund new stuff, by all means do another run. I don't care for it myself but the demand is there with those aftermarket prices.

If FansProject ever reissues anything, it has to be different in some way. That's basically what a FansProject Rep said at least year's CybCon. Which is why the 2nd release of the City Commander set came with all the extras.

I want one. And I know a lot of others that do, but they don't want to pay 250$+ to shell out for one.

I Didn't know this went for so much or that people even wanted it. It just sat around for a while last time it was released.

On the contrary, City Commander was reissued a few months back. It is already beginning to see an increase in value again. The reissue retailed for $89.99 and is already selling for $120 - $150 now. (I think ToyArena has them for $124.99 and TFsource has them for $149.99 now.) It's only a matter of time until they dry up completely again like the first run, and garner secondary market prices of $250-$300 again. Especially since Magnus is an iconic character.

For the OP who wanted Shadow Commander, if I were you, I would pick up a City Commander now and hold on to him for a little bit until it dries up and is expensive. Then you can use that as either trade bait for a Shadow Commander or sell it to off-set the price in purchasing a Shadow Commander. Either way, it will help you in getting one.. you just have to be a little patient. Just my 2 cents.
