I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but if we look at the box photo on Encore Metroplex, we can see five minibots, Blades, and First Aid.

This image is different than the G1 box image, which also includes Wheelie and features a different angle.

The five minibots are the five Encore #12 Minibots.

If TakaraTomy wants to advertise their other products in the box shot, could an Encore Defensor be in the works? While Defensor is heavily KOed, that never stopped any of the numerous Bruticus reissues (Ruination, etc.) The Omega Supreme and Metroplex reissues have indicated that large-ticket items may be reissued in this line.

I admit that this is little but speculation.

possible, but one would think we'd see the superion, brutcus, and devastator first. especially with the new movie coming out, and devastator supposably being in it.

I would love to finally have a blue Hot Spot again!! I miss that! I'd love to have official reissues of ALL combiners because those KOs are horrible!

    I seriesly doubt it.

Hes been alot of KO:ed, not as much as Dev but still.
Price, as a set it would reach over 100 easy. And so far the bigger items in Encore are shelf warmers who need to be sold out on sale and still sellers cant move their stock.
If not misstaken not all molds for him are avalible and they would probbaly not due to issu above back eneginer them.

But then again you never knw with TT, I would be very very surprised if we get a combiner giftset.

Since I just bought a vintage Hot Spot, then probably. Just give me time to get the other protectobots, and an Encore one will likely soon follow.

Any Encores of any combiners would be a welcome addition, even though I already own vintage originals.

Not to sound like a douchebag, but would it theoretically be even worth releasing some of the later encore combiners (and by this I mean post-Devastator)? Considering the prices in today's market, I'm pretty sure it would get slapped with a 100 to 150 dollar price tag...and you could probably get a good condition to near-mint version of the original toy secondhand for that much money...

It really all depends on the collector if your a loose collector that could make sence but a MISB collector like myself and many others a orginal MISB giftset of any of the post Devastator Combiners can easily be double in some case triple the cost of the encore.

Are any of the Scramble city type combiners even the same size as Metroplex? I mean part of the cost of them would be the box size and their weight. I doubt that an encore Defensor would cost as much as Metroplex.

This type of think has always bugged me. Yes you could buy originals for the same price but not in a sealed box! No offense, but some of us are MISB'ers!!

    Thank you!
