I was thinking what if the original movie was rereleased in theaters. Could it make any money? I know most if not all fanboys will make it.

:edit: I thought I was in the movie forum. Could a mod move this please.

A theater re-release? I doubt it. The '86 movie has been reissued on DVD a couple times already and you can find it readily at the tv links site or on youtube. If people can find it for cheaper elsewhere, why go to the movie theater?

I know I certianly wouldn't pay 12 bucks for something I've seen so many times on DVD already.

I want to see Aliens on the big screen again. That's about it.

Here in Austin, ever couple of months they replay it at the Alamo Drafthouse. You get a crowd but nothing spectacular.

Anyway, yeah, I'd watch Aliens in the theater again, and Bladerunner for that matter.

I think it'd make more money than Titanic! j/k

Seriously, I'd love for a theater to open that would all the great classic movies on the big screen. I know they're on dvd, but I'd go Transformers again on the big screen. Along with Jaws, The Godfathers, All the James Bonds, old Abott and Costello films, and Batman.

If they showed it around here again, i'd pay the $4 to see it.

Not like it would cost them very much to put it in theaters, and it would probably make some nice cash after this movie's buzz.
