Only an info card so far, no toys on display.

Maybe it's the Galaxy Force Wing Convoy set? Maybe with Cobybot, even?

Chances are it's Energon Optimus with Energon Wing Saber, though...

I also noticed that the card says it's suppose to come with a DVD. If that's the case I seriously doubt we'll get Coby Ramble with it. Still, here's hoping for all of those that didn't get to import the Japanese TRU exclusive. However, given that Costco usually gets the molds from the past year or so (Prime and Overload & Prime and Ultra Magnus) I figure it's more than likely ugly repaints (or non-repaints ala Prime and Magnus) of the Energon figures. Either way, it's a pass for me.

$35.99?!? That's not a bad price at all if it's the Cybertron versions. If it's the Energon versions then uhm...

I'd wager it's the Energon versions. They'd be stupid to release a Wing Convoy giftset, especially since Cybertron Wing Saber just came out a couple months ago, and a repaint of Prime is due out near the same time as this giftset as well.

Even if it's Cyb set, I really don't want (or can't afford) another Prime.

I'd love to look at the repaints of Energon Prime & Wing Saber. Just to look at :)

^What he said. As long as the colors are new, perhaps with WS in Powerglide or blue Cobra jet colors. That's a nice price for some damn good toys.

No way will it be Cybertron Versions.
Prime alone is $39.99, so that means youre getting $5 off of Prime, a free wingsaber, and a free DVD.

Its going to be another luminous green + yellow set.

Part of me actually wants it to be Energon Prime and Wing Saber. I never did get Wing Saber. Saw him a few times and said "not right now" for some dumb ass reason.

Of course, if it is the Energon figures, my getting this set all hinges on Prime's colors. I have Energon Prime, and I'll only buy a second if it looks cool.

If it's the Cybertron figures, see above. I have Prime, but not Wing Saber.

    E. Prime was $40 to, so it's either $60 of Energon toys or $65 of Cybertorn ones for $35. Glad Mrs. The Pants gets a free Costco card @ work. I'm hopin' for the C prime repaint personally. Didn't really want C. Wingsaber, but if i could get him and the Galaxy Force Optimus Prime for $35, it'd be pretty hard to resist...

Perhaps, but it is Costco, the same place that sold the RiD Prime/Magnus 2 pack for $30. In terms of size and complexity, RiD Prime is equivalent to Cyb Prime, and Magnus is bigger and more complex than wingsaber. So really, the only problem I see for them selling the Cybertron versions is the timing; these toys will still be on shelves in the fall.

But despite this, I do think it's the Cyb versions.

I'm going w/ energon versions on this one. I might bet that Prime has no drones though...would be interesting. Box might be gigantic. Wing Saber was a big block and prime had lots of stuff in full.

Btw, Prime/Magnus were both $30-$35 toys at release.

That has more to do with the time they were released than the toys themselves. Prior to Armada, 'Super' sized toys were $30. At the onset of Armada, supers were bumped to $40, along with various other price-point changes.

Believe me, if the RiD Prime and Magnus molds had been introduced post 2002, they'd have sold for $40.

Actually the Magnus was the same as the Universe version that one of those warehouse stores had as an exclusive where black was there isntead of light grey. It looked so sharp.

Anyway, my money's on E. Prime and Wingsaber. I just see no reason for them to release the Cybertron versions and no reason to expect it given previous exclusives. However, I might pick it up as I never did get E Prime and Wingsaber.

Hell, I haven't even seen Cybertron Wingsaber yet.:thumbdown  Why is the second combiner bot for Prime always rare? Overload was somewhat hard to find, E Wingsaber was atrocious, and I only know of one case that's arrived at any stores here that did have C. Wingsaber but he was gone by the time I got there.

My theory there is that all of those were at the end of their toyline, when shelfwarmers from previous waves and repaints of those same shelfwarming molds from a year ago, conspire to make any new mold hard to find space for. You can point directly at Sky Shadow and CD Red Alert and ask them which one was redundant to ship with Wing Saber this spring. Luckily, he will be in at least one future Ultra wave.

I too think it's the energon versions since we didn't get repaints of them yet.
