    Hi all,

I frequent this site everyday but never posted on the forums. I am Brooklyn4sure and am a Transformers collector.

I got my hands on a few Costco Limited Edition Metallic Battle Ops Bumblebee. I found out that Costco will not sell this figure online or are scheduled to be shipped anywhere on the East Coast at this time from a manager at the Illinois store. So...... I bought a few extra to put up for sale because I knew if people collect like I do then this would be the one to have. The metallic is gold!!! It looks amazing, must see to appreciate it.

here is the listing.... happy bidding... :thumbs2:

[EBAY]Transformers 2010 ROTF Leader Battle Ops Bumblee Costco Exclusive for Sale[/EBAY]

I revised my listing as members were kind enough to clarify that other stores in the mid west had this item. At this time Costco online and the East Coast still do not have this transformer for sale.

you would think that after all the time and money that would go into packaging a costco exclusive, Hasbro would send them to more than 2 stores... I guess the ones here at the Costco by my house in WASHINGTON must be different.

    Hi,

My name is Brooklyn4Sure and I am the attorney for a wealthy prince who is also a transformers collector!

These Bumblebees were only available in Nigeria. . . I mean Illinois! Please send me your monies!

Seriously, it's not polite to assume everyone here is a sucker. List the product, but don't insult people with crazy stories.

Its not a crazy story, thanks for the warm welcome here... huh

I spoke with the Manager Mike Fisher at one of the Illinois stores because as a Costco member I could not get one. I had to go through hoops to get these! I thought I was sharing some information with those who are collectors. I was told that these were not scheduled to ship to any East Coast Stores anytime soon. That is the FYI I got from Mr. Fisher... If you choose to feel otherwise that's your choice. BTW im not from Illinois.

I live in Illinois (Chicago to be exact). There are at least 6 Costco stores in my area. They all have them. NW Indiana which is not even 30 minutes from Chicago has them. I see no shortage.

Let's see. . . your opening bid is nearly 50% higher than retail. You try to create artificial demand by saying that this product is only available (and will only ever be available) at two stores in the WHOLE country.

This very board has sightings of it in other states. This product will almost certainly be in every Costco well before Christmas. It isn't Costco's gig to have product at all of two stores- they're a large-volume, nationwide seller.

Feel free to offer your stuff at whatever price you want- that's your perogative. But don't try to inflate demand.

Wait, what am I saying? Mike Fisher told you it was so! That must trump everything.

they are being charged at 41.99 at Costco. Its CHEAPER AND better looking than the norm version. His starting bit is 59.99. 41.99 x 1.5 = 62.99~= 59.99 hence the 50% hike.

I wonder where our Costco is in the Springs. I admit it's not a store I've been to, but this golden Bee is much more appealing to me than the yellow Bee.
I might get one if I see it in person. Will have to find Costco near me.

    Updated Listing

    @exomega255
Your very condescending to a newcomer on the forums.... Im not trying to hustle you all, I thought I had verifiable information and wanted to share. As for the supposed markup, I paid for shipping and am a member which cost money too? Be real the Bumblebee has a big box and will cost that much as I had it weighed. You want me to sell it for below my own cost? I have not found this anywhere online cheaper so your complaining is moot.

    Other forum members:

Out of respect for those of you who verified that Costco's were carrying it in the mid west, I updated my listing and called my local store and had asked if they were scheduled to be received anywhere on the East Coast using the UPC.... I was told they were not scheduled to get some any time soon. Thank you for your useful and kind feedback!

You are pretty funny, as my comments were not directed at you, but since you bite back, sure. Do not generalize me to be condescending to new members. You are the one that marked your own price. Someone asked why a previous poster said you had a 50% increase. I merely explained to them.

Where is my complaining exactly prior to this post on this thread? I would like to know. Your lash back is moot, as you have no evidence nor backing.

Edit:: btw, my first post, explaining another member's claim of you raising prices by 50%, was based on

    http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers...mblebee-released-in-the-united-states-170823/

I also wonder how "weight" plays into the factor of "cost". I can only imagine it playing into shipping cost, which you already have for 15$ on your ebay listing.

And Edit2:: I would really love for you to prove how I have been condescending to you before this post. I didn't ask you to sell it to me. I was not even talking to you nor did I give any indication so. For the record, I did not care at all about having Battle Ops Bee, any version. The only post I made on this thread prior to this, was to explain to another member, someone else's statement.

If you accuse, I'd appreciate if you get your facts straight and have some grounds for accusation. Because right now, it just makes you look stupid.

    Thanks for revising your listing.

Even if it was unintentional, your previous listing was ridiculous: stating there were only 140-something in the country and that only 2 stores in all of the USA would EVER get the product. It was alarmist and untrue.

The new description is much more reasonable and in-line with the info that you provided. The statement about there being no scheduled shipments to the East Coast (according to some customer service person, presumably), at the time of your listing, is particularly much more accurate than what you said before.

@exomega255 - I apologize as I misread your post to be the one originally made by stepsongrapes and responded. My bad.

@stepsongrapes I appreciate your less hostile post you just made as I was not intentionally trying to mislead anyone. I took your previous posts as offensive and posted to @exomega255 in error, I felt you were pretty rash for a newbee on the board. My hatchet is now buried....

Hopefully we can all move forward as all I wanted to do was introduce myself and offer up my listing for those collectors like me who are having a hard time getting this Transformer.

To me this Transformer is one I wanted as much as the special Clear ROTF Leader Optimus Prime sold only at Family Mart.

Thank you. I also apologize then, for overboard comment. Its cool. No one remembers anything past a week in these forums (hence why we have the same complaint threads), so no worries

In which case, I sincerely apologize.

I was going off more than your actual comments in your initial post- I read your listing carefully. My hostility was particularly triggered by the statement regarding less than 150 units available in ALL of the country and the strong implication that that would be all the units that would EVER be available. I felt, incorrectly, that there was absolutely no way someone would take such a position if they weren't intentionally attempting to mislead, especially given that this was Costco.

A belated welcome to the boards, then.
