    I tried and tried to make sense of it, I really did, but I got nothing. So Megatron and the Decepticons devised(?) a lost planet of the lost Autobot civilization, and the oldest Autobot said "Rome and Cybertron are your home now." And somehow it ties into Cosmic Rust.

    Am I taking things too literally or something?

    EDIT: OK, maybe it's "devoid", which could be roughly translated into "left." So Megatron and the Decepticons left a lost planet of the lost Autobot civilization (Cybertron), and the oldest Autobot said "Rome and Cybertron are your home now." I still have yet to figure out the connection to Cosmic Rust.

    Are you suggesting that the Romans were in fact helped by Cybertronian visitors?

    Certainly would explain the Energon Harvester being in Greece from that one episode of Prime.

    Maybe what he is saying is that Rome collapsed because of Cosmic Rust. Just like that ancient Autobot society did where they found the Cosmic Rust.

    Yes, I remember the lost Autobot civilization. It was a fascinating thing about that episode. It's a pity Season 2 didn't spend more time on it.
