you know as soon as I saw the head line i thought "bet it is a drug overdose".
Not one of the Cories! What will Corey Felman do now?
It has been a bad couple of weeks for child stars...
That is really too bad, but given his drug addiction it was probably going to happen sooner or later...
FOXNews.com - Former Child Star Corey Haim Found Dead, Investigation Underway
CTV Toronto - Canadian actor Corey Haim, 80s heartthrob, found dead - CTV News, Shows and Sports -- Canadian Television
LAPD: 80s Teen Idol Corey Haim Dead at 38 - latimes.com
I grabbed a couple sources to make sure everyone was reporting the same facts. 38. Thats a damn shame.
I still question the 'accidental overdose' determination. How exactly does one take a bunch of pills without the idea that taking lots can kill you? 'Hmm...normally I only take two of these. Oops! Just swallowed 30! My bad.' I'm pretty sure that when this happens, there is very little 'accident' involved. I'm sorry to his family, friends, and fan, but I wish the media wouldn't play these things off. If my 6 year old knows that too much medicine is bad for you, I'm sure actors do, too.
Damn. RIP Corey.
Damn, I'm watching Dickie Roberts right now.
What a Coincidence.
Corey Haim is now lost, boys.
damn. an i was watching License to Drive yesterday.
RIP that's sad.. yes it was a drug over dose
Now Is NOT a time for humor.
Do you know(or even think the case is) that he took 30 pills instead of his normal 2? No? Ok, then let's forget about made up hyperbolic numbers.
An accidental overdose probably happens when someone has a drug problem and over time they build up a tolerance to the drug so then they have to keep taking a bit more each time. And then one time they up the dosage just enough that the body just can't handle it. Or people on drugs do stupid things. They take drugs, get messed up, keep taking more without thinking clearly that it will kill them. I'm sure people who take drugs, any amount, do know that it's bad for them, but they still take them because that's what an addiction is.
But you still can't purposely shove pills down your throat and have it be called an accident. Just call it a drug overdose, and leave the accident out of it.
Was it a suicide attempt? If not then it's accidental.
It's not that hard to figure out.
I'll maybe agree that you can't accidently ingest 30 pills, but the overdose wasn't necessarily intentional.
