I can't see the video as i'm at work, but unless it has comedic sound effects it's already epic fail.

Just watched the video... man did that scene get out of hand fast...

But yeah, those guys shouldn't have been resisting and harrassing the cop in the first place.

Bottom line, they laid their hands on a cop during an arrest in attempt to resist.

    She had it coming.

Yes, a punch to the face seems excessive, especially since she was apparently a teenager, but interfering with an arrest, arguing, and pushing an officer isn't quite an invitation to calmly talk things out.

After reading the link, all this crazy shit started over jaywalking. Isn't that just...a ticket? I know that's a day ruiner for anyone, but damn, they only made it worse for themselves. I don't understand what they hoped to accomplish by yelling at the guy and pushing him around. Ah well.

Laying a hand on a lady usually isn't cool. but I side with the cop in this case. that woman is resisting an arrest, and the cop has every right to restrain her. I mean she is lucky he didn't pull the gun out.

I said it before and I will say it again. Cops are worthless.

That dude needs some serious training. No back up and all those people...He is lucky he didn't end up dead.

Truth. No one should accept that kind of treatment from a public servant.

I don't know what that idiot was trying to accomplish.

And over a jaywalking of all things.:banghead:

Women were out of line and deserved to be arrested. Officer should have controlled the situation and them better to begin with and it wouldn't have gotten out of hand. His reaction was that of someone who doesn't know how to do their job better.

Also, I live/work in the area that took place - jaywalking tickets are rare and ridiculous, esp given how much street level crime takes place aside from that. I'd probably be loud and obnoxious if a cop got up in my face over crossing the street too, meanwhile some homeless dude is smoking crack 10 feet away...

EDIT - well NEAR where this took place. I'd never actually LIVE there ;)  (racist!)

So you're saying they were wrong, but you'd have done the same thing?

I don't know what happened that he has to be like that. If he was attacked by the woman earlier, then ok. If not, I don't know what the fuck he thinks he is!

    Edit

    Ok watched the whole vid

I admit the hit was unnecessary but if all she got was a ticket then what's the ruckus for.

He could've just pinned her against the Interceptor and cuffed her without the hit. cause I sense lawsuit and I sense something happened before the vid recorded.

and the guy saying "Are you serious" over and over...Shut up!!!!

i think there is more than meets the eye...and Btw you should never resist a cop he's doing his job

if all she did was have to pay for a ticket then so be it

you never never try to resist the law cause there's nothing you can do.

You are still young and foolish if you think cops serve any other purpose other than giving out tickets.

I'm out of this thread. These are my views, And the views expressed by me do not necessarily reflect the views of the TFW2005 boards or it's members.

yeah I don't know what to say. Bottom line, he assaulted a minor because the woman he punched was 17 so that isn't cool. One of the things HR will look at is excessive force and honestly.... he did all that for a jaywalking ticket? Nobody video taped how it started but little known fact

You can fight back if you feel the police are using excessive force. Its not against the law but it isn't a very smart option.
