Okay, now I know what you're talking about. I had an old G1 Trypticon, and he had that joint in the inner leg halves, too. I thought this was common knowledge that his legs could do that for city mode.

I honestly didn't know, I mean I never saw it being mentioned in reviews and you'd think someone would point this out.

Oh well, always nice to figure out new stuff xD.

For some reason I am having a hard time visualizing what you are talking about, and of coarse my Trypicon is packed away at the moment. I think I know the joint you are talking about (purple thing). Is it any further apart than in this pic:

No, that's about it. It's the "knee joint" that's under the purple circle of Trypticon's knees. Like I said, I never really saw that pointed out in reviews, most people seem to not move the legs that far out in City mode.

Probably to conserve some semblance of space in a review.

Anyone notice that TR Galvatron can held kinda solidly by TR Fort Max? The grey bit the jet mode "tail fin" is attached to fits between Maxs thumb and palm.

Is it me or does Titans Return Sixshot appear to have an exposed spark chamber on his abdomen?

Less of a hidden feature, more of an easily missed minor transformation step but; as I posted in the Titans Return Optimus Prime feedback thread:

You know I got to it lock once, but the I couldn't get it to do it again, and I just assumed I was mistaken.

Universe Blackarachnia is technically a dinobot if the spark crystal is to believe, instead of coloring the figure completely they changed the spark crystal
    RSCN1617.JPG

Took the figure apart to see if they kept the same maximal crystal or something and No, she has a dinobot one.

Maybe with all the CW/UW line out, is a bit outdated hidden feature.

Do you remember FoC Bruticus, and how you could swap the limbs, right?
Also, do you remember how unstable was Blast Off as leg, because it basically didn't have a foot?
Well, looks like you can move out his forearms from the thrusters and rotate them outside, to form the foot for the leg mode.
I'm really sorry for the small pic, but the original sized one went lost when my old pc broke, and I had to find again on the web.

Almost all the universe figures had this Dinobot spark gem.

Universe Skywarp (deluxe Jet Storm repaint) had an orange Dino Spark that I switched out with a proper purple predicon one.

I don't know if this belongs here but thanks to Titans Return every figure can now have head guns (or at least Quake):
