There were several Valkyries, but no Garland (as far as I know). Oh, and a SDF-1 (as shown in my most recent collection update).

Nice pictures Sportinmorton I really enjoyed them. Back around September or October of 1984 just in the pick of the robot fever. The stores in the toys aisle where flooded with all kinds of transforming robots, nobody really knew who was who or what was what, transformers just had a few days or a week on TV. I picked up a black little van for my father to buy me, which was so post to be my first transforming toy, thinking it must be that van from that cartoon. But later on for a long time I thought for being small with die cast parts and rubber wheels , that must have had being a gobot. Not until I spot him in the internet and found out that he belongs to what are called Convertors.
Now Convertors is what I always use to look for in stores, since I was a fan of the Valkyrie and knew they had him with the SDF-1 and love the other mecha style type they had in that line, but really never paid attention to the Convertors brand name, but more of thinking why didn’t the cardboard where it came on said Robotech.
I think there I still a lot to know about the Convertors toy line just like there figures and there makers. You got a nice (MISB) SDF-1 Convertors and I have one almost exact like yours, just by looking how it says Select maybe you can tell which ones where the very first ones shipped to the US. I am pretty sure the one I have where shipped first from 84 and the one you got was the last SDF-1 sold around 85 and later on maybe being forts to switch the NofKa figure to a recolored Orguss.

I forgot I had some of these. I remember the red race car (3rd from top) and Atlantis. I can still feel how cheap the plastic and transformation was. Thanks for the memory jog.

Wow, amazing seeing all of this stuff again. I can't count how many times I said "Wait, I had that!" while perusing the pics.
I even had that wind up toy you have as your avatar, sportinmorton :D
