Here's my R.I.D. Predacon Base made from Construx. It's large, though not the largest thing I've made, but I think maybe it has the most little features and details I've ever put into something.

External views and Megatron's Throne room

    Full external front view

    Side windows, who's inside?

    It's Scourge!

Megatron's Throne Room takes up all of the upper level
    [IMG]

    The Throne rotates...

... 360 degrees! (okay, only 180 shown here)

To Megatron's right: Decepticons manning the window gunner stations, computer control consoles, and weapon racks on the walls
    [IMG]

To Megatron's left: same stuff, other side

    Sky-byte's Study

Sky-byte tries to decipher human culture, sitting in his chair, at his table with his book and candle

The chair and table are removable from the study

Who's peeking through the doorway into Sky-byte's study?

Oh, just that bumbling Predacon Trio

Now Bruticus has his dungeon filled with Autobot Prisoners
    [IMG]

    The floor of his dungeon...

... features storage for his prisoners' weapons
    [IMG]

    The ceiling has shackles...

... to string up an Autobot prisoner
    [IMG]

The wall also has shackles ...

    ... for another prisoner
    [IMG]

But most of the dungeon is a cell to hold multiple Autobots and features...

    ... a sliding cell door

The 'support strut' has a shoulder and an elbow, it's an arm!

All it needs is a hand ...

... and now it is completed, thanks to Galvatron!

:thumbs2:  Great to see some serious RID dedication. Its a massive feat. Well done. I like the control room and the prison doors particularly as it reminds me of the old playsets of the 80s for he-man, ninja turtles, and computer warriors to name a few. The allusion I'm making is that classic playsets have many of the same features your base succeeds at.

I know I've built some things for transformers from the construxs helicopter set.
Their a really smooth building material for action figure gear.

I just want hasbro to attempt something big a playset like for transformers, they know we all want them. The problem of course will be the retailers picking it up.

:D  Thanks for all the complimentary posts guys!

The throne and prison door were probably my main planned features, the rest got built around that. It is really cool to be able to have a playset for Transformers... with all the smaller scale TFs(legends, activators) they're making now, some kind of playset should really be made for them. Could get something on the shelves for around $50 that would rock.

Cool to hear about other people still building with Construx too.

I had been re-watching RID a couple months ago, first time since it first aired, so that along with Universe RID Bruticus's bio was the inspiration for this.

    That...

    ...is...

    AMAZING!!!

Now only if Hasbro could make something similar for mass release. Even if just large enough for RH figures.

Are you watching them on DVD or something else? I really wish they were on domestic DVD. RID was the series that brought me back into Transformers. It's sad that after Energon is released every US series BUT RID will be avaliable on DVD.

That is incredibly sweet, in more ways than one! :D  Seeing all those figures posed around the base takes me back to the good old days of building playsets and making up stories with toys...I miss those days. :)  It's awesome to see such RiD love taken to such a level, too...pat yourself on the back.
