    Constructimus Prime 2.0 WIP ///IN PROGRESS AGAIN\\\

    ////////////////////////////////
    //UPDATE MARCH 10 2011//
    //////////////////////////////
    Many thanks to OVERFEST who allowed me to purchas the remaing peices to this monster that has been on the back burner for too long. The only thing left on my list is to get a waist connection that is solid enough to support his heavy upper body and creating a head.
    Pics.

    Ever since I posted the first Constructimus Prime people have said to make the legs proportional to the rest of him. So I decided to do this.
    [IMG]
    But I am having a problem. I need some help designing the leg connectors as you can see in these pictures.

    If you guys can tell me how you did this I will greatley apprecate it.

    Well I'm kind of low on money right at the moment so I can't work on him right now :(  But I will when I get the required parts and money.

    Just wanted to say that it's shaping up and you might get a better asthetic look if you turn the construction vehicles with the wheel rims are facing forward and the excess in the back (notice I said might) Just try it out and see if you like it better. Also, just wondering, why didn't you use the bulky piece that attaches to Unicron's knees. It'll give you a full 360 rotation on the shins of this combiner and you may be able to hide the combiner pegs much better. Looking forward to more developments:)

    Yeah you could make a Devastator but just combining construction vehicles doesn't necessarily make it a Dev...you can change a hell of a lot of things to make it something else. Make it a "What if". What if the autobots made a construction combining guy...what would he look like?

    Also, do you get what I'm talking about with Unicron's original shins? I think I did it on every one of my combiners that had Unicron and it made things a hell of a lot easier when combining them together...plus it holds well.

    Just the fact that you... A) Can afford to do this.... and B) have all the bots to do this makes me jealous! I hope everything works out for you and you get the connections to work.

    U need to cut out a potion of unicron second portion of the leg joint to its required size than use strong peg to hold on to it which will make the robot more strong n proportion, anyway whats Constructimus Prime i never heard of it ,isit part of yor creation

    I understand what your talking about with the legs. I would do it if I had a dremel tool or a sharp knife. I hate having to do these customs without the proper equipment.

    I just got an idea on how to attach the legs. I'm going to cut out a big hole in the legs so the giant peg in the bottom of unicron's legs jut pops in. this will also give it 360 degree rotation:)

    Oh you are so right...without the proper tools, it's like working with your hands tied behind your back...I feel for you man. If I were to suggest anything...hold off...brainstorm like hell until you get the tools that can make everything possible. You'll be able to bring your creation so much farther than you could otherwise and you'll appreciate it that much more.

    FYI, if you can get this done without powertools, I bow down to you.

    Ok here is another update: I got the left leg to work! :D  after about 3 hours of modding unicron and heavyload they combine together perfectley. I understand that it's VERY crude but it is the best I can do with some drill bits, a steak knife, some duct tape, and a finger nail file.

    this looks promising!! and i like the new take on constructimus prime.for the joints though,have you tried looking at "struxx"?they're basically giant balljoints that hold together really tight and they can swivel 360 degrees and are pretty basic to use.and with the limited tools you have at hand,you can still make them work for you. can't wait to see your end result!!!:p

    Looking nice...if you want, you could add some kibble to his thigh areas to bulk them out a bit to match the width of the lower legs.
