Never mind. I got a expert at a store called Hobbytown USA to help me out. Thanks tho.
To be totally honest, because of your age,if you want to do this I'd highly reccomend you do so with adult supervision (at least until whoever your adult supervision is becomes convinced you're mature enough to do it the right way, with ventilation and such). Also, be VERY careful disassembling those KO's before you paint them. I have an adult friend who broke half of them trying to do the same thing.
Eh, as long as he's got some common sense he's fine. I'm 13 and I'm good with this stuff. Now, for being new, I do suggest you look in the kitbash how-to thread (stickied at top) and learn the proper and safe way to do these kind of things. And yeah, Ventilation =
Tamiya X-15 is probably the closest G1 color you can get if you add a sealer wich oftens darkens the color a bit.
KO's are pretty cheap in quality...just save up for the classics gift set...
But then again...using a KO for your first repaint is a safe way to go...
To be honest, I read your initial post twice and...I don't understand it...what do you want, really? Info. on how to repaint the KOs into G1 colors? If so, then follow the stickies, they are your best resource! Good luck!
Also, definitely practice. Just go out and buy one of the many (oh so many) Cybertron basic brakedowns and just rip him apart, paint him and then reassemble him to get experience. I have a Brakedown that looks like a rainbow just because I use him to test paints.
This is all I need to know: What colors for what robot?
Like I said before Tamiya X-15 is probably the closest G1 color you can get if you add a sealer wich oftens darkens the color a bit.

Dude, for 13, you're amazingly articulate, and you know punctuation and the sort. I'm amazed at how many people older than I who can't/don't speak as intelligently.
Alright. Enough off topic.
And purple??? or Black for that matter...
By the way, whom ever said I do well with words and all, thank you. I like to do things here like I would in regular life, although I do know what stuff like LOL means.
You happen to have a hobby shop nearby so alot of colors and products are available to you, lucky you 'cause I have to go get my stuff at WalMart and that is very limited.
Do things the way you want them. We all have our own view of things so there is not an exact color except for the one you feel like using. For tech advice browse the forums and as for artistic advice, unless you want to do things the way others do, go with your inspiration. Good luck on your project and welcome to the wonderful world of kitbashing!
It's always refreshing to encounter a teenager who can read You can write coherrently as well. I'm impressed
Yep, Master Megs passed 5th grade alright Too bad there are others who do not follow suit. It's truly a sad commentary on those certain persons who don't wish to grow. MMegs, seems to be on track though as well as Omega Ranger. Kudos to you both!
Yeah....but what color for the Constructicons's purple should I use? Like Deveastor's chest plate? That kind of purple, which would it be?
I need to know by next Sunday!
Hey Ptitvit. Still love your Dev man...
Omega. I used Liche Purple from Citadel with an airbrush. My green comes from Model Masters "Sublime Green" and it comes in a spray can. It's enamel though.
lol, and I love you too David!!
My flat black is Excel Colour Vision 10 min dry big spray can 340g
My Purple is Pure Purple Excel Just Enough fast dry small 85g spray can.
My Green is the exact same equivalent of Testors Sublime Green but by Tamyia and is called X-15. Except for the Tamyia paint, the Excel brand is available at WalMart.
My Dev right? RIGHT? PLEASE? LOL. Kidding. Hope all is well..
Uhh...okay then. Well...is there any alternative things instead? Like Testor's Fusion? I heard that was a good brand.
I think Fusion is available at WalMart also but they are limited in colors.
I'm sure they have the black but purple and green, especially that green, you'll have to go see for yourself 'cause all Walmarts don't carry the same stock.
