I think Soundwave will have more than just a hand in bringing Megatron back from the depths.

That would be interesting. Just like in one of the G1 episodes.

How about the US Army building it? Keep in mind that they have a chunk of Scorp's tail (not to mention any pieces they didn't throw in the ocean). It would make sense that they would try to build a weapon to defend themselves and if I'm not mistaken, the toy changes into a tank, does it not? It wouldn't suprise me if Megs sort of "borrows" their new toy.

I really like this idea. Hopefully Soundwave will dispatch the Constructicons to Earth with the intention of finding and rebuilding Megatron. I need Soundwave to be involved -- he is Megatron's most loyal soldier after all.

Or some disgruntled Terrorist which happened to be in Mission City that day Saw Megatron and stole his body.

dont think the constructicons are medics in the movieverse, Megatron comes back by the power of the allspark shard or by the fallen

In "War Dawn" they aparently built Megatron. They don't need to be medics to build new bodies.

Also, I highly doubt that the U.S. Army is going to rebuild Megatron. He's pretty much dead already, his left arm and right leg are gone, and he's clearly droped into the ocean. The chances of the U.S. Army bringing him back up out of the water are like their chances of raising the U.S.S. Monitor or even the Titanic.

Maybe Whichever protoforms crash through the carrier are the ones who retrieve Megatron, but I agree the Allspark shard would revive him.:2c:

Wouldn't it be sweet if the protoforms that crash into the carrier are Soundwave's minions . . . . and as the wreckage falls to the ocean floor it covers up Megs, and Rumble has to hit the ocean floor to move the rumble off of Megs. Then thats all we see of Rumble.

    Just a theory.

Yet in the episode "Heavy Metal War", which is before "War Dawn", Megatron creates the Constructions.

Cartoon series is so not reliable. You'd think someone went "Hang on, that doesn't fit...".

The Constructions are alrheady on Earth by that time, so we can rule that out. I can only see the Constructicons showing up after the other Cons pull Megs' body out of the Ocean

This I like, G1, but not so G1. And then they use the dead TF's from TF1 to give Megs the new upgrades.

If this was in response to my post, I wasn't suggesting they were going to reconstruct him. I was suggesting that the tank was an entirely different body altogether using the technology they have in possession (loose pieces). The scenerio would go something like this:
    1) Army decides they need a robot killing weapon (similar to Blackrock's gun in the Marvel comics)
    2) They build a prototype of a robot killing tank using Transformers technology
    3) Soundwave retrieves Megatron's spark
    4) Spark is inserted into a new killer weapon
    5) Megatron is reborn and the Army has inadvertently built Megatron's new body.

I'm sorry if my point was clear enough in the first post. I certainly wouldn't suggest that the Armed Forces or Sector 7 would be foolish enough to rebuild Megatron on purpose. Well, Sector 7 might be that crazy, after all they did store Megatron down the hall from the AllSpark.

It was a dream. Soundwave looked to be giving all the orders in "Alliance #2".
