    hey guys, quick, stupid question.

in about a month I'll be going on vacation for the first time in a while. As I like to have a back up plan in case weather goes bad or I get mild sun poisoning (it's happened), has anyone had any issues with packing a Wii in a suicase for a flight?

I'd ask about the 360, but that's staying home. I'm paranoid enough with that thing as is.

Srsly take a book or something. Or maybe a portable console (DS, PSP, Game Gear). Don't take your Wii. Aside from possibility of breaking, there's also increased chance of theft and just in general being totally weaksauce lame. But if you're intent on doing it, if you pack it well enough it should survive the flight without getting busted.

i've carried my PS2 in my backpack before when i went on trips..and i've also placed it in my luggage...just wrap clothes around it and try to pack it in tight so it doesn't move around too much (whether its using a smaller bag or adding more stuff)...i would do the same thing if i were to bring around my Wii.

Dude.. Just make sure it's fit snuggly in a bag.

I before I opened it up for various reasons, I took my wii with me to work on a constant basis.

Had to sneak that in there, didn't you?

That said... I recommend leaving your big boys at home. Take a DS and Chrono Trigger, or a PSP and Star Ocean. But that's just me and my type of games.

I have taken my PS2, 2 controllers, memory cards and about 12 games all packed firmly in an old camcorder bag. No problems whatsoever, but i took it only because i was staying at my destination for more than 3 weeks.

i suggest the portables or if ya just gotta, take a PSOne- with the small flip screen. there's plenty of games for it and spares the risk of losing a Wii.

one lame question for you: if you are going on vacation, why stay indoors? weather or sunburns never stopped me or my family from avoiding the hotel room.

There are times where I'll be out, having fun, and then I'll just want to go back to the hotel and chill out, ya know?

or if I wake up, I want something to do if it's 3 AM and I don't want to go out or if it's REALLY shitty weather.

it's an emergency back up activity.

I've always thought about taking a TV console with me on Holiday, but I haven't because, well the wife would kill me.

Books, DS and now an eeepc accompany me on holidays.
