Thinking about selling my Centurion collection. What should it go for?

It's a complete Series 1 collection. Has the boxes for everything but the baddies, and most of the blank sticker sheets and instruction manuals. The boxes of course have some wear and tear, but everything is 100% complete and in awesome working order. The only downside is that Hornet's stickers aren't applied because they won't stick.

Any suggestions on how much this should go for? Thanks.

Wow. I'm extremely jealous. If everything is complete with boxes, I'd think you could get $400-500. Maybe more. I'm far from an expert on Centurions, but I have shopped for them from time to time (hoping to get lucky) and they ain't cheap.

Looking over the completed auctions on ebay, my best guess would be about $300 - $350. The boxed figures don't seem to be going for more than $30 on average (some as low as $15). The weapon systems on the other hand seem to hit between $30 and $50 each.

I did the math and based on some of the weapon systems missing, and Jake's being pretty high, I'd say closer to 500. Especially considering that's piecemeal collection while mine is a whole set.

But, again, I'm just considering it. I appreciate any feedback I get too.

Even at $30 a pop for the weapon systems, you're talking $270 for just those.

Factor in $30 apiece for the figures themselves, and that's $180.

You're at $450 right there. You're likely to get a premium for the boxes, but should expect a discount in a bulk purchase. $450 seems like a fairly conservative estimate. $500 wouldn't shock me in the least if you found a buyer that wanted it all.

    MS, don't mind me asking...

why the sudden thought on selling your Centurions collection?

Got a shock when I saw you as the TS for this one but well, as much as "we all gotta do what we needa do"....maybe this one is a collection you'll wanna keep?

It is, but life comes first. Right now I'm just gauging interest. The collection, while my "grail" just sits there, and well, I need things that'll get more use. Like a new computer, but even before that, I have some bills to pay.

I'm on the fence. It's going to go one day, or it'll go to my son, but when he's at the age when he can actually "take care of it" he may not want it.

But, no worries about asking. It's definately a fair question, and most people who know me in the Centurions thread know how much I love these things.

Yeah I know how much you love those babies...I even asked ya for a scan of Skybolt's sticker sheet, remember? :p

Anyhow, at the end of the day we all must do what we gotta do so if I can't do anymore to persuade you to sell off others but this, then do it :)

I do remember. I meant to scan them all, but I don't have a scanner. -.-

And I have other things I'm thinking about selling. I can't seem to place value on certain things though.

I may just sell it all. It's inevitable anyway.
